BEST HIKE IN COROMANDEL NEW ZEALAND | Pinnacles
Are you ready to hike up to the Pinnacles in Coromandel? Check this video out before heading up to this beautiful piece of nature.
To get to this place, enter "Kauaeranga Kauri Trail" in Google/Apple Maps. I suggest you first stop at the Kauaeranga Visitor Centre where you can have a chat with the guides as they tell you how the weather is like and what to expect when hiking up this trail.
Then you will have to drive another 20-minutes to get to the start of the Kauaeranga Trail which will lead you to the Pinnacles Hut and then the Pinnacles Summit.
I suggest you carry at least 2-litres of water, especially in the summer as it tends to get very hot and trust me you will need A LOT of water as the hike takes approximately 5-6 hours return.
If you want, you can stay overnight at the Pinnacles Hut for a small price and this entitles you to use the kitchen, showers and other amenities. Make sure you book in advance or check with the warden if there are vacancies. For more information check out the DOC's website: www.doc.govt.n...
