Hi team, just to clarify some things here as people mentioned in the comment. I have tried this with all the MG ZST and MG HS I can get my hands on and this has worked for every one of them. It may not work for some vehicles with early software, unfortunately. There is not much I can do. You can ask your dealer for a software update during service and see if this will work after. Hope this helps.

The problem is that I have to use Google Lens as the whole lot is in Chinese on my ZST Excite.
@@NckMrrtt Where did you find the tyre pressure to change I have the same car and 3 chinese menus tried google translate
@ianbond9436 Alas, I've now gone through each of the 3 menus using Google Lens (Universal, Page and Multilanguage ) and the menu functions don't seem to include the conversion settings that Jerry referred to.

To change the configuration the engine needs to be running?
Screen needs to be on.
Hi Jerry, I have just bought the new MG3, picked it up 2 weeks ago (17-09-24) and I seen on 1 of your videos you have the out side temperate showing. I don't have it showing and I cant seem to work out how to get it to show up on the screen. Thanks Jeff..... Would love any help you could give me..
If it doesn't have it, it is not available on your car.
Thank you for the reply, on your video (User guide 5) you have the out side temperate showing and my MG3 is the same model. So I am unsure why that car has it but my one doesn't, I am going in to MG in 2 weeks for its first service so I guess I will find out then. I am thinking maybe a software update.... Thanks anyway..

Yep, very interesting.
This doesn't appear to work on earlier software versions where you will only see a Chinese menu. For example mine is AS23_10.1_AUS_NAV41.24_200924_R while Jerry's is AS23_10.1_AUS_NAV41.26_211118_R which is a newer version. Next service, tell the dealership to update the software.

I have an MG HS 2020 model. I am trying to change my Km/h to Mph but my "Secret Settings" bring up 3 options. "Universal", "Page" and "Multi Language". I have used Google translate to look through options but I can't see any option for units.
It is a different system version as mine :(

I got one today and figured it out today. Go into display then go down to the bottom it lets you change to mph and mpg from km an kmph

Hey Andy, some of the ZS or ZST specs don't have temperature sensor & display unfortunately.
Hi, I have a problem with Engineering mode. Could you please share information about how we can unlock engineering mode to change some settings? We didn't have "OK" button in the Engineering mode.

No idea about the monkey test unfortunately. It is best to leave it as it is and do not change anything. Hope that helps.
@@JerryPanandCars Hi there, yes good advice I had a thought I think it is actually Mon Key Test so some sort of monitor keytest. Its been for 2x services locally and both times they claim no updates were available but there clearly must be. How can I get it updated to a version that I can change the units? I booked into Pukekohe for this work to be done but dont want to waste everyones time if the vin number returns that no software version update is available when it has to be. Thanks.

Im from México and this firmware came with my ZS 2023, the fuel consumption display from fabric was on KM/LT, but when i discovered this menú ive changed to LT/100KM but I CANT TURN IT BACK to KM/LT, anyone knows how to do it?

Nope. ZS EV Gen 2 has a different system to this. At this stage, I don’t know how to do it in Gen2. If I ever do, I will post a video out.

I just went into the menu and its all in chinese got google translate onto it touched display in english nothing happens, scrolled through menu unable to find anything in chinese or english that says tyre pressure I have 2021 ZST
Did you press the 4 corners in the way as shown in the video. If you do it in different orders, it may lead you to another mode.
I have the same issue, 2021 zst and comes up with 3 options in Chinese, which was able to use the translate app to read the headings - most commonly used, page, multilingual. Then in each heading I couldn’t find anything that relates to temperature/kms/psi etc
I tried multiple variations and only found that if I went top left then clockwise it brought up engineering mode.
I’m trying to get my km’s back to kms instead of miles, if you have another option or idea that would be great.

@@gemielmcpherson2759 I have the same year zst in AU and unfortunately i have the same menu as you do. Using translate none of them related to the bar/psi.

It works on all the ZST and HS I have tested for NZ/AU spec.

@@JerryPanandCars i actually had a question if that's okay? I'm not sure if this is something about. I managed to open up the menu on my MG5 but when I tap on the options it doesn't seem to change the units. do you know why that is?
@@diegoh5574 it is probably locked for your car due to the region setting by the manufacturer
