because when calculating p2, we accept the first 2 bits then skip 2 bits and so on.

Madam, Hamming code it is error correcting method. It is not just detecting method

bhai kyoki p1 ki value 1 h means p1 ka binary code m hame aise no chahiye jiske binary representation m 1 aaya suppose 0001 =p1 , D3=0011;D4=0100 ye nhi h kykio iske binary representation m 1 nhi aa rha h ,D5=0101 so ye h kyoki last value m h1 samjha bhai

Kyonki D5 to pahle se hi 1 hai
Aur D3 Aur D7 zero hai
Hamen no error ke liye even parity chahie
Iska matlab D3 Aur D7 MI se kisi mein bhi error ho sakta hai
