Omg yaay!!! So I highly recommend that you attend the trademark seminars that USPTO offers so you have the institutional knowledge needed to do the job. I found a few on eventbrite. Type in USPTO or trademark and you will find some. Apply like crazy to all trademark roles. I had no trademark exp but my employer took a chance because of my extensive legal background
@Yesenia.R. perfect! I believe at the end of the bootcamp they issue a certification of completion so list that on your resume for added value to show that you took the initiative to learn. Good luck!!
Looking forward to your next video. Any pointers for how you landed IP role without prior experience? I am trying to do the same, how did you stand out in your interview?
Heyyy, I'm actually gearing up to start making more videos soon. I just moved and I'm balancing grad school so it has been a mission lol. I'll post more videos in a couple weeks. My best advice would be to sign up for all events that USPTO offers online. They offer a bootcamp every quarter to teach you about trademarks and how to maintain a mark. At the end of the bootcamp they issue you a certification of completion. Those bootcamps are free. I applied for my current role on Indeed. And I stood out to them due to my years as a paralegal as well as my educational background. I'll make a video about this as well.
Hi.. glad I found your channel. I’m an appellate paralegal and looking to shift into trademarks.
