There is a beauty to music especially such as this as you say it transcends all boundaries - and quite illuminating and in my opinion it can give one hope even when sometimes all is lost
I went to a Cirque du Soleil last summer and heard music much similar to this. I was trying to remember where I knew it from. This was in the very deep part of my memory from my childhood

I'm actually in the middle of creating my own theme song for my own IP, and going back through 90s Scifi TV shows looking for the best, most unique sounds to base ours on. It's amazing how this is just a little loop, but it sells the theme and ideas.
I would love to see this performed live, particularly the erhu work. It is nice seeing that instrument being used in something very different than traditional Chinese music.
I always loved the Taelons. Especially Da´an & Zo´or. In their appearing they were gracefully, majestically & Elegant. Their gestures with the hands and their upright attitude (stature) you can see on medieval, gothic & Renaissance paintings in Vatican and Louvre for instance nd their bald head was influenced by Buddhist monks & ancient Egyptian pharaos. If Da´an would have been elected to Leader of the Taelon Synod they would have won, because he was more dangerous & dubious than Zo´or.
OMG I FOUND IT!!!! Me and my Dad would watch Relic Hunter every morning on our tv. And this show would play before it came on and I would beg him to keep the music on. But I havent heard this song since they stopped playing the show. 😄😄😄
Did Boone can back in Season 5? I just brought the First Season on DVD. I really started off great, but Season 2 lacked something the first season had. I wasn't a fan of Liam at all.

I brought season 1 and the show had a lot of promise.I didn't like Atavus that much, That's when the series started bottoming out. I really didn't care for the final episode or the final season.
They should make a prequel series too this show, with season 1 being for first half of season travelling to Earth, last half of first Season, arriving on Earth. Season 2-4 would be Taelon's first three years on Earth. Even have episodes leading to Sandoval putting his wife in penetentiary, and thus forth.
I agree! this may sound a little crazy, but if it really takes off they can do a whole Star Trek thing and have an original character come "back in time" to change the timeline so they can go past the 3 years.

I prefer your previous version of this because the intro added a whole lot more depth. The repetition of the main rift here is somewhat redundant. Unfortunate that the audio quality of the previous version wasn't as good as this. Love the music all the same!

Thanks to the whole situation with Star Trek discovery and the paramount streaming thing people in the uk have to watch Star trek discovery on Pluto tv for now and if that hadn't been the case I would never have heard of this show or its frankly amazing theme song. Don't know how I missed this show growing up but I do plan to check out the first season to see what the show is actually like.

Yeah, I remember that as well. For the final season, it came on at 5AM. So I had to get up extra early to watch this and be on time for classes.

No it wasn't. Kevin Kilner killed it as Boone. And he had such great chemistry with Lisa Howard. The show just wasn't the same after he left.
I would love to see this show rebooted, it's plot fixed and a full 5 year arc written and done right.

That's my favorite part of season 1 intro; the pyramids, plus the painting of Da'an in the Church of the Companions in intro as well.
