Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event:
• Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed
• This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with”
• This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton.
• Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable
• Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently.
• It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, …): look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it …
• Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man
• Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara
• Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀
• I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers.
• Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash

👉 Here Dimash follows in the footsteps of the world famous opera singer (baritone) Dmitri Hvorostovsky (*1962 in Krasnoyarsk; †2017 in London), who has often sung this part in previous performances.
The lady in white is Aida Garifullina, *1987, a Tatar from Russia, world-famous opera star and Prima Donna at the Vienna Opera (Austria).
The lady in black is Lara Fabian (*1970), also a world-famous singer, songwriter from Belgium and a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child, Dimash wished to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and here the dream came true.
The ice dancers are Olympic champions and world champions from Russia.
This event took place on the occasion of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoi (composer at the piano) in 2019. Can there be a nicer birthday?
* Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/ Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Krutoy wrote of what working with Dimash meant to him: “How lucky it is to be doing what you love to do, writing for such a brilliantly feeling singer, evoking deep emotion in the audience and being in demand'.
So far, Igor has composed several songs for Dimash and many songs in 30 years for Lara Fabian and other singers. Most of the songs in this concert were by him.

The first woman to sing is Aida, she's an opera singer. Lara is the blond woman, who went more contemporary in her career. This is an Igor composition (the bald piano man), and Lara has sung this song with 2 other singers, but the original male singer he died. Dimash is a professional and knows how to share the stage.

this is one of my favorites. On DIMASH's 24th birthday Lara did a video of her with a small one candle cake and singing happy birthday to DIMASH, I saw the video and liked the respect she paid to DIMASH. Aida made a comment in rehearsal for this performance that if she lost her voice, it would be no problem as DIMASH could sing both parts. Good reaction on your part enjoyed it.

You`re right. Lara Fabian was the blond one. If you see the look to her from Dimash you know it. The evening wasin honor of Igor Krutoy (the great composer on the piano). He was so happy to hear these voices according to his sounds. You can see it.
The mistake was honest enough as Aida is beautiful in looks and vocals. But yes the stunning blonde is Lara and more amazing than one can imagine in both beauty, soul and voice. Dimash never overshadows while singing with others. Always the gentleman.🥰🇨🇦

Lara Fabian was very well trained by the best opera teachers from Belgium and Italy, but she decided to sing pop songs, she als has the knowledge to sing in operatic way, she studied from her 8 to 18 at the Belgium Conservatory of Music (there she learned Bel Canto, piano [she composes her own songs on piano)... Then since 1998 she kept having vocal lessons with her Italian teacher untill nowdays, she has two vocal teachers (From Belgium and Italy) and she keeps having vocal lessons at least 3 times per week on-line. Lara also workz as a vocal coach on The Voice Canada, she already worked as the vocal coach at the Star Academy program in France from 2004 /2008.
