Wow Chris, That came out great. Very nice job you did there. Jet really likes the dirt. 😅 I hope he behaves and does not tear into your fine job as it fills in with grass. I see that your neighbor also has a tractor too. Guess he did not catch the orange bug. He went with New Holand instead. They are fine tractors too. Dan 👍 👍 😊
Thanks Dan! I've shot a bit of footage to do a brief follow-up...the grass looks pretty good! The tractor at my neighbor's is an old Ford that he sometimes borrows from a friend of his. He had it to run a Halloween hayride for some kids. It's a beefy old girl!
Good gloves are hard to find! I just noticed I wasn’t subscribed to you, I thought sure I had been for awhile. I really like your tractor, it’s a nice size for many jobs. Easy to get around but still powerful enough to do good work. That was a steep spot where you were. Appreciate you mentioning my channel. You have a beautiful place and did an excellent job on the project. Take care!
Thanks Ben. Usually the tractor is at our river place (the Watershed Overlook) where everything is pretty flat. In fact I'd say our yard in Richmond is nearly flat compared to what you tackle out there, but it is enough to get my butt puckering if I try to cross that part of the yard sideways! 😉 Be well...hope you and your family are doing OK.
@@watershedoverlook my grandmother had a beautiful funeral service, if there is such a thing, over 200 people attended. It made the family feel very blessed!
Looks very nice Chris 👍🏻, you did a great job 👍🏻. I noticed you didn’t use the reverse weighing technique 😉😂…ok ok you tractor is bigger than mine 🤣🤣. I had an encounter with a happy black lab puppy a month ago, went to see the neighbor and the puppy was happy to see me and came barreling towards me, I thought he was going to stop but nope caught me right in my bad knee…🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️, I limped for a good week… Have a great week Chris 🇨🇦🇺🇸🙋🏼♂️🙂👍🏻
Thanks for watching Luc! Sorry to hear about your knee, but you are correct...apparently some Black Labs don't come standard with brakes! 😉🤣 hope the knee is better my friend!!! 👍😎🇺🇲🇨🇦🍻
Thanks Mike. As I told another commentor, this was one of those projects that you just have to stick with, because when you first get started you look at it and think "Oh man, all I've done here is make a big mess!" Eventually though, perseverance (and in my case some luck 😉) pays off and things turn out OK! Thanks for watching!
I’m doing something similar this afternoon. Only in my case it’s my side yard and it’s quite hilly and I’m going to use the tiller first to get rid of all the crab grass (thatch) first, then I’ll sprinkle some new top soil and feather it in with the bucket and box blade. I’m using a Lx2610 with a similar set up ( but I added an extra 280 pounds of suitcase weights to the box blade for extra ballast and needed weight so the ripper shanks engage better in our hard clay soil. Great work 👍
Thanks for watching. Weight is one of the reasons I love that EA box blade...when it arrived here the shipping weight was 540 lbs (that included the pallet). It's a beast. Good luck on your project...sounds like it's going to be a great day!
That is really amazing how much higher the lift capacity is for that tractor over my BX. The box blade seemed to do an OK job tilling the soil. The end results looked great. By late next spring it will be perfect.
NO regrets on my choice of tractor! In fact...spoiler alert...major upgrade coming to the LX soon (if Kubota can ever get me what I'm waiting on 😣) And I agree, I will seed again in the spring and I think it should look really good. It looks better now than what is shown at the end of the video! Thanks for watching Jason. 👍😎
Good Mornign Sir, I can see that you have a lots of tractor therapy 👌👍😇 Ok, I see why you were asking about my front yard stones 😇👍Nice puppy Jet Dog 👍😇👌According to tractor data you can lift up to 1067 lbs but at full weight 769 lbs Very Impresive ( Breakout force (at pin) 2245 lbs ) 👌💪😇 How's was your front tyre ??? Oupssy time to go to church I stop at 4:47 Be back very soon for YOUR OUTSTANDING video SIr Cheers 👌👌👍👍😇😇
Thanks Dave. You are spot-on regarding the loader specs...that is exactly what Kubota's promotional material says, but clearly I exceed that weight significantly. Plus, those specs are measured at the pivot point and I'm lifting 42" pallet forks. I think the reason for the difference is two-fold...one is that they are intentionally underestimating the capabilities, and two, the Kubota specs are lifting to full height and I didn't attempt that. I only lifted them to a max height of about 3 or 4 feet (90-120 cm).
@@watershedoverlook Yes never lift more than the front tyre height ( thank you for the metric input Sir !!! ) Tractor Data is a great source of information but if they go as many tractor ( using only the 80 % ) it will last longer and safer too 🤔👍😇 Cheers 🍻🍻

"What's with the life preserver?" LOL!!! Well, as you can clearly see, I didn't drown while completing this project so obviously it works. 🤣 Glad you liked my exclusive, customized Watershed cup. (a Yeti cup with one of my stickers. 😉) My neighbor borrowed that tractor so he can pull a hay-ride trailer on Halloween. Frankly, he should have just used Ross' tractor...it apparently can drive itself! 😎👍🤣 (I'm assuming you saw his Halloween video 👍)
looks like the box blade did a god job smoothing things out! that looked like a difficult area to work and was amazed with your box blade skills. I have a love hate relationship with my box blade that I pull behind y lx 3310! Great video and I'm a new subscriber now!
Many thanks for the kind words Brad, and for subscribing. I agree, the box blade can sometimes be frustrating, but man, when you get it dialed in...I love it! FYI, if you like the BB content, videos #005 and 013 might be up your alley! Thanks again, Chris.
I hate to tell a kubota guy to buy John Deere but their leather gloves are great my old lady bought me a pair over a year ago now and are holding up great and I wear them welding even
Thanks for the tip! Unlike some, I've got no problem with the Green. When I started tractor shopping my intent was to buy a 2R series tractor, but the LX2610 ended up being a better fit for my needs and budget. Just like motorcycles...I like 'em all! Thanks for watching. 👍😎

Thanks Noel, and you are correct, the garden tractor in the garage is a 1975 Wheel Horse B-80. End results looks great to me 😀 If you had a tiller you would have fought the roots ... Wondering if that area used both bags of seed ?
That's a great question I probably should have covered! No, I intentionally put the seed down heavy but I still have a full bag left!
