And here I thought work was going to be boring! Great video, mate! My own theory; In my opinion the makeshift barricade of vehicles as well as the barricades lining the perimeter and pool seem to indicate that- at some point- a large group of survivors gathered at the water park for protection. Perhaps it was a mix of employees and locals who sought refuge there in the early days of the outbreak, hoping to find relative safety and a safe place to regroup? The entrance/gate is interesting to me because the way it's laid out on the ground looks more like the type of damage you'd see from a vehicle collision- perhaps caused by raiders or another group of desperate survivors- which in turn attracted the ire of the infected, forcing the initial occupants to flee. I'd like to think that the initial survivors left in a hurry in whatever vehicles they still had at their disposal (and that weren't part of the barricade) with either one or two opting to remain behind at the central tower, either to give their friends/families time to escape or because they believed that their superior position and tactical advantage of not only height above ground but also the barricaded perimeter might save them in the long run. Eventually though the remaining survivors up in the eagle's nest would realize that they were stuck, only managing to eliminate one or two walkers at a time from range while attracting even more because of the large-caliber gunfire (.30 and .50 cal machine guns can echo for several metric kilometers, especially near larger bodies of water) which in turn boxed them in. One of the walkers in the tower is dressed in some rather warm knitted wool clothing (or at least that's what it looks like, suggesting they want to stay warm from the cool night winds) so they may have been one of the stranded survivors who slowly perished due to starvation. Perhaps both of them were the only remaining survivors from the original inhabitants that starved and died after being trapped by their own intricate defenses? Perhaps they were two opportunistic scavengers that sought refuge in the tower from an oncoming horde- only to be trapped up high with all sorts of supplies except for actual food and drinkable water? As a military man I'd also like to point out that the large medical crate bears military symbols *and* is stocked with the same supplies a lot of military medical/triage tents and camps would make use of- not to mention the .30 cal which even has a spare barrel (4:00) sitting atop an equipment crate. While the .30 cal isn't in active use with the US military today I wouldn't be surprised if you could find one at a National Guard armory or in the home of a private collector, which might hint to some military presence at the water park or nearby. Realistically though, the number of military crates might suggest that whomever erected the fort in the first place may have been a well-stocked survivor or someone with ties/former ties to the US military as there's at least a truck's worth of supplies still up in that tower. But that's just my theory!

The best explanation I could give you. Is that the walker that ambushed him? Was somebody that was there with him? Maybe he had been away from. The area for a while. And just came back to stumble on to all of this. But in the panic didn’t notice. His partner had already completely turned. As he ran up towards. The high caliber turret. Remember lurkers, seem like they’re dead. He could’ve been ambushed the same way June was.. Only his partner was dead, unlike June. Who had Alicia? The reason why I think we see. The waterslide incident in the first place. it’s meant to show us what happened to the survivalist. The only explanation I could give you is that he wasn’t there alone. And that he accidentally got tricked by a lurker. And fell down the slide to his death. I highly doubt that high caliber turret. Was there from the start? This could’ve been an operational run, by more than one person.
Theory: What if the person was ex military or at least conscripted due to the fact they were able to have a machine gun and they did fortify the place pretty damn good also had made sure to get everything they needed cause if I were in that situation I’d probably realistically just off myself I ain’t living in constant fear of death man but anyways as you said a horde could’ve broken in and overran the lower parts and the survivor would pick them off one by one but due to the fact not many bodies were there and the still loaded gun they decided that what they were doing was pointless and the more they shot the more walkers would’ve come and offed themselves and maybe they had a lover and friend which would explain the two walkers
Survivor met someone, made a bad decision(maybe out of loneliness or just poor thought process and utter desperation due to living in the fucking apocalypse😅) and let them come back to the base, stranger was bitten and turns and bites the survivor, the survivor somehow prevents the now walker from killing him, but isnt able to kill the walker, bam, two walkers in the nest.
I remember going to this place years ago with my dad and brother sometimes; my cousin too. Pretty cool to see it in a TV series. It's one of those core memories where I remember every ride and all about it!
I love this series so much!!!!! I especially love fear the walking dead areas since it’s from where I am. so whenever I’m watching the show and there’s a background shot it’s like looking outside lol
maybe the zombies didn't climb up there, maybe they were a group looking for safety. I'm thinking one of them could have hid a bite while the others stayed on lookout, one taking shots at the walkers below. The person who was bit then turns and start attacking, a few people die in the tower, others try using the slide to escape but end up in that pit?
Hi Ty, Great video once again. Could you done about the Public Works Building in S2 Ep 10, "18 Miles Out"- where Rick and Shane attempt to drop of Randall. It seems like some fight broke out
Tragic suvivor stories (Of the aftermath of such) can be seen in all these postapocalyptic movies, series and games, they are "designed" to make us wonder and be saddened...
I actually made a calendar of Walking Dead Universe places through my local CVS when they had a killer deal on a 18 month make it yourself. This place is actually my August picture. It definitely was one of the cooler places featured on Fear The Walking Dead. I think your idea makes sense. This person might have even been a national guard who abandoned their post and fortified this waterpark in means of keeping themselves alive, only for it to all backfire on them and having to leave all those supplies when a herd moved in. I have to say I really love your speculations on these cool scenes that were so prevalent in TWD, I mean sometimes when I rewatch I notice a little note like a shopping list pinned to a fridge when they are raiding for supplies. Those snapshots of the world before, I can't imagine our survivors not getting potentially trapped in nostalgia for a moment.
I believe the walker got up the water slide tower is by climbing. Even though we see only variant walkers in TWD and Dixon they still exist in the universe.
The gate looked like it had been rammed open by a vehicle, I think someone rammed the gate trying to get away from the horde and accidently lead them to the park. I think there was two people that had been part of the park, and they slept in shifts. One person went out for supplies leaving the other to gaurd the park, the dead actually gained access through a spot we didnt see in the show. The remaining person radioed for help while in a gun battle with the zombies and the other person charged in using their vehicle to ram the gates open and rescued their partner and they escaped.
One thing to mention is the variant zombies that don’t really make sense but can totally climb some barriers. Which is why the place is abandoned, the survivor got scared seeing the zombies climb up and decided to leave as once they were surrounded, and ran out of ammo, they’d still be attacked, also there’s a chance the lone survivor died at the section where all the zombies were stuck at the funnel, rain could have washed away the blood as we see all the paint washed away there, as well.
This story made me imagine what I’d do if I was stuck somewhere less blatantly built for survival, or even consider if I could take somewhere not built to be lived in and MAKE it somewhere to survive in. Like, I know we see this waterpark, and we saw the fairgrounds in TWD… but what about a “smaller” amusement park? Or even just portions of a larger one? Like… cedar fair/six flags parks, parts of Disney world/land… as well as more local “amusement parks” that folks from out of state might not know about. Idk, they typically have first aid stations in the parks I named, some have haunt seasons which means they have a variety of props (largely flimsy and useless) as well as sets (typically built more durable, with parts that could theoretically be scavenged from power sources to decorations that are made of real metal. Some have waterparks, which could be similarly useful with various food vending locations and first aid located within for easy access, so you could always just lock up the waterpark section and call the rest a lost cause as the water parks are typically a more manageable size. But there is also the chance to make the entire park APPEAR much more dangerous. If it’s a park that has a haunt then you already have “bodies” you can hang from the rides that are visible from the outside, as well as any zombies you take out. These parks also aren’t impenetrable towards smaller wildlife, such as squirrels, raccoons, opossum, birds, and cats. Worst case these could be food options if necessary. Idk, I definitely think it’s an interesting idea, and I do with we had gotten something like that. Plenty of amusement parks are closed during the “off season” and could have been utilized, as in some regions of the south it still gets a bit too cold to be riding 100mph rides, but not cold enough to be on a roller coaster (or, from what I heard, the rides aren’t built to BE ridden in the cold & doing so can cause damage)
I think the survivalist either got bit early by a surprise walker encounter, and made their way up and fought for a day or two before succumbing... or, they may have taken in a survivor that was bit (unlikely, this person seemed pretty paranoid)... or the survivor himself had a health condition and maybe had a heart attack or something and died and became a walker, despite the preparations. The stack of medical supplies might imply they were attempting to self-care in the post-apocalyptic world without a doctor. Interestingly, look at the hat on the cartoon dolphin. It is a WW2 German U-boat commander's hat.
You know, even though I know the obvious reason why they wouldn't be able to do this, I still would have loved to seen what would happen during a zombie apocalypse like in The walking Dead for those who are attending a Disney World or Universal studios sized theme park.
Hey these videos are super neat man please keep doing this type of stuff. I’ve always thought certain things shown throughout the series are interesting and these theories are a neat way to think about what happened
It could be that the gun jammed and the survivor couldn’t fix it or didn’t think they could fix it before the walkers got up the slides. So the survivor left. That would explain why the gun was still loaded.
It maybe possible that the water park is meant to be some sort of makeshift FOB (Forward Operating Base) for the US Military Remnants that are either scattered with some civilians they brought with them. They fortified with whatever they can find and barricaded the stairs to make a sort of Watch Tower on the Slide Tower. Soon the Walkers attacked which left the Remnants or survivors eaten alive unprepared or fled into random directions. One civilian survivor attempted to climb up the slide but was bitten in the leg before he kicked the zombie off him. Unaware of the infection he got from the bite and managed to kill multiple walkers before succumbing to the infection.
Ya know I actually like this as I worked at a pretty popular waterpark here in Texas called Schlitterbahn. Can't deny that I'd myself wondering how I could use the main park as a fortress against the undead. The main section of the park had a long and deep lazy river that went around the whole park and was very well enclosed with fences. Think the only issue was that the main park descended so if you were inside the park you'd have to go up to reach the entrance which means fighting the undead up flights of stairs with a decently wide natural river behind you as you're only way out. There are side gates for Park Service but they are always locked and the only people who had the keys were the park service leads, supervisors and others in high positions, so you'd have to hope they either unlocked them when they fled from the undead inside the park or hope you're Park Service and are lucky enough to have the keys to begin with. I just always find the idea of holding up in an amusement park during the zombie apocalypse interesting.
One of the things that annoys the hell out of me in the walking dead is that all the guns they find that’s been exposed to the elements for extended periods of time without maintenance or care are pristine and functional. I’m rewatching the main show and I just passed the episode where Rick and Carl fight off the horde that broke through the prison fence while the others were struggling with the flu on the inside. They just had carts of guns and ammo just sitting out there for who knows how long. I get the were there as prep for a potential attack but come on.
Looks like the walkers in the funnel slide had to go down the slide to get there. They could have been alive in the tower and sent down the slide after they were killed. Maybe the last walker in the tower was just a little slow sending a victim down the slide before they turned and got bit.
the zombies in the tower were the residents who lived in the tower. 1 of them dies for whatever reason. then the other makes dumb sentimental decisions like they always do. then everybody dies.
Perhaps this was an early indication of the climbing walkers, whether they climbed the place or went up the slide since they did have the ability to grip and the survivor didn't notice them thanks to the sound of the machine gun.
By themselves? I sincerely doubt that. There’s too much stuff on the stairs to have been done by one person without attractive everything within earshot or some distance. Had to have had a partner or even a cooperative individual. Until perhaps they succumbed to injury or another cause and here we are; no reason to leave, no help to get the MG and its ammo down or all the supplies. This was purely desperation. Survivor was injured or bitten and went to the tower to live and then turned. TO ME, this makes more sense.
Lone survivor ran out of food, and water. Knew it was a matter of time before they succumbed, threw themself into the pool at the bottom. Got eaten, but as there was water in the pool at the time, the remains sank to the bottom as the water evaporated.
Just a thought you could cover the military walker inside the tank in twd when Rick originally meets glen there’s def a bit of environmental storytelling there
I think the walker in the tower was the guy who lived there... I think he got bit and turned... and I don't think he was there alone to begin with. I also don't think it was a walker hoard that broke down the fences, but possibly the Vultures or some other rando group. Some of the walker were from that group, some came from the chaos.
Amazing video, I really love the environmental story from the walking dead universe. I wish they added more environment story in FTWD, I know a few like the hotel that Strand and Daniel visit in season 3 and when Strand came across his Abigail in season 3. There quite short thoughts
Fear wasn’t always the best but I loved seeing the start of the apocalypse. Twd did something new by starting already into the apocalypse and I love it but it’s still cool to see later on. Fear also did a lot of cool locations and situations
I would bet this guy got away. To put all this effort into fortifications and not have a bug out vehicle with supplies and weapons seems unlikely. The machine gun could have been what did him in forcing him to have to make a run for it. That’s a 1919 browning 30-6 loud and kinda Inefficient wasting several rounds for every hit drawing more and more in. Would also explain why there was ammo left. Probably realized as he was firing I’m screwing myself by firing.would he a good deterrent against looters of course. Also could explain why it was overrun he could have been fighting off other survivors and that would draw in the dead? That would have to have sucked Texas heat in that elevated position baking in the sun all day.
I honestly forgot about this part of season 4. This is when I started to phase out of the show at this point but it’s an interesting theory. The origin of Alicia’s epic weapon was born here too which is great! Would you consider doing theories/ environmental story telling on the walking dead telltale if you can find any?
MrBeast came and said I’ll give you $1 million and then a zombie bit him in the arm arm and then Chris Tyson went to see all the little boys so nobody can do anything so Ava so Ava Chris Tyson was hanging around with the boys and after that no not the boys and little boys and after that everybody else help them in the MrBeast crew like the Vikings and then more zombies came and came and came
Rick and Shane would've busted the vultures apart especially with t dog and Glenn I think they would've adapted faster to the world if they had the vultures there just waiting for them to die and taking every single bolt and screw around the area that'd psychologically mess with rick and the group causing rick to side with Shane on his crazy decisions
Wouldn't it technically be possible that just a single walker snuck up the tower and one of the two walkers they encounter at the top is the survivor? I still don't know how one would have gotten up there to begin with but a single one somehow getting up there is a little more plausible I guess.
East asia in general would be hell in the walking dead due to large populations in large cities close together. Bonus since places like japan have strict gun laws.

Wish we saw more locations like this in the shows. Such an interesting apocalypse hideout
And here I thought work was going to be boring! Great video, mate!
My own theory;
In my opinion the makeshift barricade of vehicles as well as the barricades lining the perimeter and pool seem to indicate that- at some point- a large group of survivors gathered at the water park for protection.
Good theory
Maybe the two walkers were the people living there and there was two but there was only sleeping for one because they alternated sleeping
I love the setting for this story but it always irks me that alicia only takes the shroud of the machine gun for the sake of “character development” :/
I hate how they tried to make it her “iconic” weapon lol
@Swell-Films agreed. They should have let her keep her original iconic weapons, which was the balisong knife but unfortunately those two awful reboot showrunner never watched the first three seasons.
@@Lord_Velvet_yeah they ruined ftwd, i loved the first 3 seasons
@@KleinerGrenadierI wouldn't say so. I loved 4A,5B,S6 and S7. I only hate 4B,5A and S8
@@filipgaecki5480 your pretty mutch disqualifing half the show ftwd made by the new show runners
That should show very clearly the problem
Since the s1-3 where pretty mutch allaround great
The best explanation I could give you.
I definitely think that’s a possibility aswell
Five minutes ago is crazy but I never miss a video. Glad to see you upload again man, I love your videos!
Hey thanks so much for staying tuned!
Another Banger The Walking Dead Lore Video from you is always good to see👍
Thanks for watching mate!
Your videos got me into twd! I know i am so late to the party but your videos actually intrigued me to the characters and the series so thanks :)
Love to hear it!
THEY RAN OUT OF FOOD The survivor ran out of food and starved to death.
It seems like some fight broke out
Absolutely! I intend to cover that one in the next couple weeks
Tragic suvivor stories (Of the aftermath of such) can be seen in all these postapocalyptic movies, series and games, they are "designed" to make us wonder and be saddened...
Why does every tv show makes Texas look like it's all desert when it's a very diverse biome?
It’s probably cheaper to film in the barren areas lol
Could be possible! Wish they actually fleshed out the variants
@@Swell-Films Me too. They have so much potential
Ive binged this whole playlist. Love it. Keep it up!❤
One thing to mention is the variant zombies that don’t really
make sense but can totally climb some barriers.
Love good lore videos. TWD is one franchise I can't get enough lore. You need more subscribers! These videos are great
I think the survivalist either got bit early by a surprise walker encounter, and made their way up and fought for a day or two before succumbing... or, they may have taken in a survivor that was bit (unlikely, this person seemed pretty paranoid)... or the survivor himself had a health condition and maybe had a heart attack or something and died and became a walker, despite the preparations. The stack of medical supplies might imply they were attempting to self-care in the post-apocalyptic world without a doctor.
Interestingly, look at the hat on the cartoon dolphin. It is a WW2 German U-boat commander's hat.
Don't forget there are variant walkers, explains why they stormed the waterslides
Love these analysis videos keep going!
It could be that the gun jammed and the survivor couldn’t fix it or didn’t think they could fix it before the walkers got up the slides. So the survivor left. That would explain why the gun was still loaded.
Maybe the walkers on the tower where the survivors and had just suffered bites during the attack.
Keep em coming =)
I think the walkers in the tower were the survivors since they wouldnt as walkers be able to get up there.
the zombies in the tower were the residents who lived in the tower. 1 of them dies for whatever reason. then the other makes dumb sentimental decisions like they always do. then everybody dies.
Excellent Video & Thank you, Weekend Waterpark Plans Cancelled‼️
🙈🚫🎡🌊🩸🧟♀️🙌💎📽️
Yo Im Not Gon Lie Keep Doing These Bro I Mess With TWD Alot But Too Lazy To Do This Myself And You Been Going Crazy😂
Perhaps this was an early indication of the climbing walkers, whether they climbed the place or went up the slide since they did have the ability to grip and the survivor didn't notice them thanks to the sound of the machine gun.
Thanks for uploading. Love the theory videos man!
I just love these videos.
Lone survivor ran out of food, and water. Knew it was a matter of time before they succumbed, threw themself into the pool at the bottom. Got eaten, but as there was water in the pool at the time, the remains sank to the bottom as the water evaporated.
I like your videos!! I really like to think in behind stories! I would like to watch about the enchained zombies on Daryl Dixon series ❤❤❤
Whoever was in the hideout could have died of a natural cause, I didn't see this episode the machine gun was loaded I did see any brass on the ground.
Really the thing with survival is you need people you do blend with
Another banger video!
This video is amazing, more of these please ❤❤❤
Amazing video, I really love the environmental story from the walking dead universe. I wish they added more environment story in FTWD, I know a few like the hotel that Strand and Daniel visit in season 3 and when Strand came across his Abigail in season 3. There quite short thoughts
Fear wasn’t always the best but I loved seeing the start of the apocalypse. Twd did something new by starting already into the apocalypse and I love it but it’s still cool to see later on. Fear also did a lot of cool locations and situations
Could've been one of those climbing zombies that got the survivor in his tower
It's the Loreman! 😁👍
they probably slipped down a slide and got bit
Yes absolutely. I plan to dive into telltales series soon, just have a long list of ideas to cover first
Possibly the wlakers thst got up were varients maybe climbers that msnage to climb pass ir sround rhe barricade in the stairs
I don't know why but I thought that was June's hideout at one point.
Perhaps the survivor ran out of water.
Bro ended up reading the comics
This is a great one. I have another one for you if you get a chance. FTWD season 2. The hotel. That is wild story IMO.
Imagine being in some major Chinese city during this💀
East asia in general would be hell in the walking dead due to large populations in large cities close together. Bonus since places like japan have strict gun laws.
Did a fan recommend this one
So excited 😊 for The book of Carol 😊
Could you do one of these about the place with the doll sculpture in Dead City?
I think the walkers that climbed up there were variants
These Videos are great! Could you do one on that Group randall was with if you haven't already 🤔 there wasn't much detail but I've always wondered what happened to them.
Awesome series
Great work
i think there were climbers that got up there, you can't go up the slides without holding the sides
Interesting theory. I wish amc explored them more so we could know how long they’ve been around in the timeline
god for Forgive us is that means something to you?
I wish we could get a proper zombie game as fun as the environments as TWD and FTWD.
Miss Alicia Clarke ...
