He isnt anything OP but still annoying thanks to him being a glass cannon.

Fact: grenade in SMG squad can anti-tonk if you have enough squad and do it (throw grenade) alternate, tonk will be lost hp. so I use this one to anti tonk if my tonk is out of fuel or don’t have a anti tonk unit (Idk this fact is new for me or it just a normal one and I think my English skill is bad😅)
I will say, in the defence of SMG users, I usually only use 2-3 SMG’s per starting spawn. And that combined with ambulance is a personal favorite. The reason I use SMG’s is because I don’t use artillery in my attack builds (don’t say it’s not effective) so I have no need for radios, and using Grunt M is with ambulance is pointless. So SMG’s can use grenades as a substitute for arty, while being healed by ambulance. Plus, I use modern tactics with SMG squads, such as tanking damage with vehicles and using infantry to snuff out other infantry. All together (plus the German skin) I use blitzkrieg tactics most of the time, and SMG is perfect for this.

Im pretty sure SMG got nerfed but you still will find a SMG spammer in a lobby once. The problem is that they are not noobs and use BTs to sniper heavy armor for the SMGs. This really pisses me off because i dont want to change my loadout to counter SMG and not normal loadouts. So i've slowly merged rocket truck into my loadout and the nerf made it much better.
how to destroy smg squads (simplified) 1. use aoe (they're cheap so they're very spammable so aoe) 2. sapper (use mines to slow them down) 3.tanks (distract and block the path) 4. recon car (go forward, attack, retreat, repeat) 5. high damage (one shot them)
i "unintentionally" used the rocket strat, worked like a charm against smg squad spammer in pvp. (by "unintentionally", i mean i accidently equipped it before a match)

I think that smg squad had their flaw and advantage their advantage is that is they are shock trooper so they will destory infantry in the way and light armor vehicle just like german ww1 stromtrooper now their flaw is when they attack and already use grenade that is your chance to counter back with grunt or artillery
Also I think that remove their multi attack would make them useless since they are not shock trooper anymore they would die before even had a chance to throw grenade

How to neutralize SMG Squad one get sniper team as they have the longest range in infantry but you need to get the pins so you don't have to worry about your snipers getting killed by the SMG Squad how do you know that units these behind bullet trails when they attack the sniper team also has a radio to call an artillery if you have any artillery units on standby within range that have ammo
when i play bedroom attack rigged trio i spawn many strong unit but third player spawn four smg squad to face 2 recon tank atgm and 1 recon car and second player spawn transport truck and rocket battery and yeah just transport truvk and rcoket truck no radio unit
My strategy for deleting those annoying guys who make playing on the veteran whatever difficulty like the second difficulty whatever extremely hard is to simply be like I don't care if you're good against vehicles or guys without much armor when it comes to your little grenades because I'm going to make them explode you with my SPAAAAAAAAAAAG and the extra a means them screaming as they get teleported into heaven faster than when you did a tutorial but you bring your own units such as a battle tank
at least i got the radio tech but your bot freind will use your loadout and if you have a radio tech in your loudout then your bot friend will kill most of your units it will be very terrible if its rigged mode
Well because it’s a pre evolution to grunts, everyone is forced to at least use it a bit. Which is kinda a shame those players have to get dogged on for using smg when they have no choice

The balanced smg squad be like:
-25 > 30 tix
-can attack with its submachine gun twice
-Gernade cooldown: 3 > 2 turn
-Gernade dmg: 35 > 20
-Gernade 0 > 5 AP
-Submachine gun 4 > 2 ammo (both)
-Sub machine gun does 7-8 x 4 (28-32 dmg) instead of 10-11 x4 (40-44 dmg)
-90 HP > 85 HP
