@jim6186 what defined the Cs80 ? (Except being polyphonic) An expressive keyboard, presets, and unusual synthesis approach with playability and musicality in mind When people discover Cs80 for the 1st time, I can see 2 categories - pianists who try to play music with it (without thinking about synthesis and programming) - sound designers who watch the front panel and think "it's not as powerful as expected" followed by "sounds like shit" It really was an instrument thought to be played, despite it's possible to make some nice sound design with it I've not tried the code 8 yet, but I'm not sure it's been built with the same goal in mind Polybrute 12, well, it's a modern compromise with a very expensive keyboard and powerful synthesis If musicians don't want to waste their time programming, they have access to tons of presets directly playable (and that was my goal as a sound designer, thinking each preset as a playable instrument)
@@Michael_Geyre what defined the cs80? Well it's sound of course. My point is that the se code can be had with cs80 style filters making it the modern day closest equivalent to the cs80.
@jim6186 I disagree and things are not that easy All Cs synths share same vcf Ig, but most of them sound different Compare as example cs70m to a cs80 if you have the opportunity
