THALAIVAAA!!! Haha I'm so glad y'all finally came down to doing this one and I'm happy you did the Tamil version too! I thought the movie was really good - the vfx got pretty ridiculous at the very end lol but the story was good and Rajnikanth did really well as a robot. The directors name is Shankar - he's like a pioneer of VFX in India(he started in the 90's) --> Baahubali's director Rajamouli credits Shankar as his major inspiration to venture more into VFX because of the commercial success that he experienced with it. Shankar has directed some really awesome movies - I(vikram - y'all did this reaction already), Endhiran (Rajnikanth - this movie), Sivaji( Rajnikanth movie from 2007 - really good commercial movie with an awesome story/message and a lot of swag from the one and only Superstar Rajnikanth) and a lot of older movies. I would watch Endhiran(the robot) if you guys had a chance. The VFX is pretty solid till the very end but you got to give it to him for being a pioneer.

But as a lover of good films, il recommend you guys to watch 'Baasha' 1995 tamil film with Rajini (Hindi version might be available too). You can find it on youtube for free. I know u guys review only new films. But if u are passionate about good films, watch it. It is one of the best film I have seen in my life and one of Rajini's finest performances. I know others will agree. Rajini showcases his subtle acting skills as an auto driver, and carries the film through his screen presence as a don. And the film portrays one of the best villain roles in all of Indian cinema. A villain who never gives up, and trusts the hero more than his co-villains. Most of your recent favourites - Vedalam, Don, Billa, Thalaiva, Maari are all rip offs of certain scenes from 'Baasha'. You could imagine, why i recommend this film. If you manage to watch this film, il put you guys on my fb wall! I promise!

"Sivaji-the boss " is the movie where u would want to see "the rajnikant movie going experience" ... the director of this movie " Shankar " is like Rajamouli ... they know how to tell a new story which could be understood by everyone.. and both use ample special effects... only difference is Shankar focuses more on social issues while Rajmouli is more towards a fantasy genre ... both these directors r d best India has... (in terms of special effects) .. check out the train chase scene which has been chosen in the top 10 list of best train scenes globally... also the versatility that rajnikant shows..just proves why he's a superstar ( not a fan but appreciate his acting)

The hype for the movie other than the fact that it's a Rajnikanth film is that he's going to do a film that's like very true to the story and that isn't built up with like unrealistic stunts and whatnot.
