I picked up this board last year and rode it through the whole season. I was sad to see you weren't able to review it last year. Your review now though was spot on to how I feel about it! Great to see you were able to review this years! Such a fun board! Keep up the amazing work guys!
Rode it today at a Nitro Demo in firm then slushy snow and I fell in love with it. I only wear a size 9 boot but carving was still amazing. Quick edge to edge but very stable. A lot of pop and riding switch was easy. Im hooked. Charged through everything I got it into. If you know you know. Traditional camber rips!!
Weight?
@@alexs825 Im 5-11 , 170lbs
Angry rocked it again.
Nice hipbropatamus. Real nice bro.
I tryed the Dinghy 155 just after the Nitro Squash 159. The turns felt weird at first. It prefers sharp turns and active driving.
Got a sweet deal on this board. Will the Rome vice pair with it? Appreciate all you guys do.
Yes.
Nice!! Thank you very much!!
Ive got a month long trip to Japan this year. I currently own a slush slasher, but thinking I may be better off on something more versatile like this. If you had to choose between a volume shifted party board or something like this for Japan what would you be on?
Nice review. Contemplating this or the Excavator, Hover 2.0, or PYL UnInc. for deep powder. Pick one if your life depended on it. Also, I am an older rad dad and don't always understand how the interweb works for monetization, so help me help you. Is it best if I buy through your links to say, EVO or is there another way help you out?
Another excellent, direct, and no BS review. Thanks. Who would the 160 Dinghy be for? (Perhaps myself 6'4," 12.0 boot, 190 lbs) How do you think the 160 would be for tree riding?
Someone probably 60lbs heavier than you. But you can believe anything you want.
Would this board be too much of a boat for someone who is 6’0 tall, 160lbs, size 9.5 boots? I’m thinking between the 155 Dinghy or a 152 Salomon Dancehaul.
I already own a park/playful board, and I’m looking for a more stiffer all mountain board for deep carves, fast on groomers, good for pow and tree runs.
Or would you recommend another board aside from those two?
If you want stiffer and faster then you don't want either of these.
Thanks for all the awesome reviews Avran! How would you comapre this to the new Korua Transition Finder? Or are they completely different rides? Thanks
I really wouldn't.
I'm trying to decide between the 155 Dinghy or 154 Stale Fish. I want it for pow and tree runs which I'm sure either will do, but which one do you think is better for carving. charging hard and hitting side hits? Which would you take if you could only take 1 board?
Dinghy
Awesome review as always. Was so curious about this board. Would this in 155 work as a party boarding carvy cruiser for 180 lb US9 rider? How does this compare to Ride Phsycocansy 154 and Stranda Biru 154. Seriously considering getting one of these.
It's stiffer than both of those.
Looking for a binding recommendation. I'll pick up the dinghy as an all mountain carver/pow board i can still spin off things.
I recently owned union's strata and would ideally like something a little more precise.
With that in mind, which do you think is better suited to the board between the now select pro and now drive?
I'd love to try skate tech as opposed to a recommendation from a different brand.
Thanks for all your help to date.
If you want precision get the Drive.
Thanks.
Are the select pros more precise than the strata? Maybe I'd have been best to ask - which one do you would you personally think pairs with the board best?
Yes. Either.
What size did you ride? I am looking at this board but don't know what size to get I am 6'3 200 size 11 boot, what do you think?
155
@@AngrySnowboarder155 is that to both questions ?
@@lucasmcclelland989 yes.
@@AngrySnowboarder appreciate it, thank you
Do you think this can handle japow? Im doing a season at revelstoke next year and then japan next and was wandering if this board could be good for both
Should
I picked up a Nitro alternator.... i am going to test it soon...
How is its float in pow? Looking for something that can handle cliff drops in pow
Is the board comparable to cafe racer in terms of damp, feeling the speed, carving?
No
Comparing to Nitro Slash this one has better pop, quicker toe to heel transition in slow speed, more stiff and better all around. Is that right?
They're really two different rides.
I'm interested in the same. I have nitro slash but it's so specialized I rarely ride it
Was looking at this, servicedog, and warpig for tight trees, low angle, connected by steep pitches. 6’, 210, size 12.
Any of those 3 standout as the best option? Anything else I should be looking at? Thank you
Those are three solid choices.
Sweet board! Will there be a Nitro Fintwin and Pow review coming this year?
No.
I’m look for a powder board during end of season sale . I was looking at this, is it surfy? I want something that will make turns in deep snow
Does it ride chopped powder well ?
It can be if you're riding powder.
@@AngrySnowboarder does it turn in powder well? I have a outer space living right now . And as it rides powder pretty well. I can’t really make my turns /slashes on it during deep powder
Sounds more like a skill issue.
@@AngrySnowboarder fasho fasho. So just keep my board then
Ride c-6 or c-8 for this board? Could also go A series.
c-8.
Would this board fair well in some park as well as the powder?
Does this look like something you really want to ride in the park?
@@AngrySnowboarder yes it does
Good for you. Go rewatch this review.
@@Misterjibjab I wanna ride it in the park too haha powder jibbers on top
how would you say this compares to the banker?
Shorter and wider.
bouuught it
How does this compare to the Kemper Aggressor?
No clue never rode that.
@@AngrySnowboarder it's been a min no doubt th-cam.com/video/iT32Ox8Wtgs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xq1WQ6Upp4AvuTF-
Let’s put it this way if I forgot how it rode, it’s not memorable
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks for pushing me in the right direction. The Dinghy has been exceptional for the conditions (limited terrain, mixed shallow pow, crud, shitty groomers, sketchy landings). Rips soft moguls, turns on a dime but still holds an edge. Eats everything so far, it wants to go up and over without hanging up on the camber. And the pop! Love how this loads up, I can trust it to clear most obstacles. Wheelies really well. Pretty much everything you said, thanks again!
How is this compared to the squash? Squash has a swallow tail now
Squash is softer, not as wide, not as stable.
@@AngrySnowboarderthanks. Is this too stiff for someone who weighs 155? At the very low end of nitros spec. But size 10 feet and looking for something that can go fast down all the side country type runs and crush cliff drops
For that I think you'll be fine.
Picked it up last week on your recommendation. A nice plus is it's made in Taiwan so we can support a threatened democracy instead of a threatening authoritarian regime (superpig - China).
Yay!
Dinghy Vs Killswitch for pow, dropping some cliffs and one over the other for tree 🌲 avoidance! Cheers.
Dinghy is a little stiffer and more stable in the tail which will help you when you drop those cliffs.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks
@@AngrySnowboarderso I’m stuck. Jones mind expander ultra, dinghy, alternator. Want something that can drop cliffs in pow better than my park board. Saw pro riders using the alternator on massive cliffs but what do you recommend for a more normal rider?
