Thanks for these videos. The best turorials i’ve ever watched of a synthesizer. If theres a way to donate to you to keep going with the videos let me know
I've just watched all your videos on the Blofeld & I have to say a big thank you. I have learned a lot more about my instrument in one evening than I have ever learned up to now, a fantastic set of tutorials! 👏
excellent... a lot of playing back but was able to make, upload and play own sample ...cannot thank you enough... more videos like this would be excellent...thank you
I have the Blofld for a few years but you showed me with the car and keys samples a new way. Thanks a lot and what a great synth is the Blofeld if you are going deep into sounddesing.
Haha wonderfull! Im thinking on buying a synth. Have heard of recently announced Argon modal 8x? Is a blofeld a better investment? Would really love to hear your opinion. Cheers, awesome video!
The Blofeld is better for beginners (cheeper and with many functions), the Argon has a different sound (most people would say high quality) and a better user interface but it's lacking i.e. a sample player.
Milan Bajcetic the blofeld is stunning value for money. 3 oscillator with fm sync modulation lots of wave shapes all can be modulated great modulation virtual patch bay stereo multi mode filter unison 24 note poly loopable envelopes 16 part multi mode multi fxs delay reverb great arpeggio ring mod I own loads of synths including software and the blofeld easily holds its own when you get to know it it’s very capable synth easy to program - you can squeeze all sorts of sounds out of it. It’s a bit misunderstood and don’t look exciting which is why I ignored it for so long it’s defo got its own rock solid almost clinical vibe but it can do warm as well.
I love my blokey......but don't use it to it's full potential.....thankyou for your videos which are much better than trying to understand the manual or screen!
Oh, I never tried that but I think this should be possible. The loop information is stored within the WAV file and you can assign the files arbitrarily in the software.
You can loop one sample if the sample WAV file has loop point information in it. In a previous part of this tutorial I explained how to create such a file ;)
Can anyone say anything about some of the common bugs within the Blofeld? The biggest drawback for getting one is the Blofeld being unable to sync to clock. Is this true? I've read it on different forums, there is also topic about that on the waldorf site. It's a lovely thing but if i can't play it at any sinc in Cubase then...:/? Anyone can comment about this issue? Thanks Awesome synth!

Thank you! If you are from within the EU, you can have a look on my shop (frequture.net). You can get one of my Blofeld sound banks ;)
That sequence with the car sounds was pretty bloody cool
Thank you for your tireless work on exposing the capabilities of the blofeld. It was your videos that helped me decide to get one for myself.

Please compare the Blofeld to the Virus TI
Hi! Can you mix loops and one-shots in a single sample set?
Oh, I never tried that but I think this should be possible. The loop information is stored within the WAV file and you can assign the files arbitrarily in the software.
Is there a way to make the samples loop without using the arp?
You can loop one sample if the sample WAV file has loop point information in it. In a previous part of this tutorial I explained how to create such a file ;)
