This is what my step daughter used to practice her cat walking for modeling school. Makes a great song for that. Love the whole album as well, was my first TD purchase just out of curiosity, glad I was curious.
When tangerine dream released this song mothers of rain....it was an unbelievable track to listen to....and the video that goes with it... they hit it smack on every time i play it i think of my father who passed away with cancer..and this song is a memory of him
Wow, its a track from their album "optical race" I first listened to this in 1991. Never got tired of it. The synths accent there reminds me of the transporter effect on Star Trek. Hope you play Marakesh & Sun Gate too!

My mother purchased a cassette called Celestial Journeys Vol.2 and it had this track on it. I remember how I thought every track on the album was beautiful. It brings back so much nostalgia... ^_^

Sin desmerecer las otras etapas de TDream, muy intenso este álbum, corte intimista propio de la música de los años Melrose de TD (igual que Lyli On the Beach ) muy poético el lenguaje visual y sonoro, buenas imágenes. Aúnque la mejor etapa (mi opinión) TD es la del sello Virgin (p.e.:Rubycon)aquí Mother of Rain se pasó, esta fantásticamente representado con este video, en lo conceptual Froese no transa ni desmejora en nada (se nota la mano de Paul H.).FELICITACIONES X EL VIDEO
Not bad. There've been several recreations of the rain falling in music, and it ain't so easy. But still thinking Debussy's Jardins Sous la Pluie the best one. Then you've the Jeux d'Eaux of Ravel and Listz, which are also very good piano pieces. Stan Getz Sweet Rain is a different thing. 🤗

Many years ago heard a live version SB recording [which can be barely appreciated on Bootleg "Sound and effects" cd] The tempo was greatly increased and bass line was much improved. Pity this was not part of the Tree Collection.
