All my co anglers are amazed how “big” this 19 footer fishes. 2 things I wish would have got were the hydraulic jack plate and the paint over gatorhyde. My boat has a 24 pitch 3 blade Fury and it will start to chine walk around 69mph but can correct it. You are right taking time to balance the boat and heavier weights toward mid and stern helps a lot. Thanks for the great videos Big Jim, you helped me make my decision last year.
Nice breakdown of the special features by Phoenix. I currently own a older Skeeter but looking to make the move to a new boat instead of used. The Phoenix is going to be my next boat. Thanks for sharing.
That rough water clip is a avg. day at Paris Landing one thing i learned the hard way if your gonna be on Kentucky lake i want the longest boat I can possibly have / store those 3ft rollers are no joke
My 919 is the best boat I have ever owned. Fast, stable, and a great company to work with. Touring the plant was eye opening. Best part of owning a Phoenix for me, no white river marine group.
My Stratos 201 pro rides smooth for me and never takes on water so I still keep it but if I ever do get a new boat it will be that kind of boat nice review thanks.
Keep it heavy......keep the tank full, fill the livewells, and as he said weight to the rear. Biggest thing is do not over trim it. Phoenix need to run flat on the water. Hammer the gas and a couple bumps on the trim is all you need. If it is throwing a rooster tail it's trimmed out to far.
Had a BumbleBee 290 ProSport, not a bad boat and it punched way above it's weight class. Most of the guys I fish with have moved to a Pheonix if they fish a glass boat. I am not gentle enough to have a glass boat and so I moved from the BumbleBee to a GatorTrax Strike in 22'. I believe that in the glass boat world Pheonix is in the top of it's class for the $$$ you spend and you get a damn fine boat.
May be a great boat, I have no personal experience. But for the prices used or new have made these unaffordable for most. I'm ok with searching for an older Ranger, Stratos, Champion or Winner.
BJ, very nice video my man and awesome boat you have. I feel the same way about my Basscat Caracal. Both brands are definitely at the top of my list as for as features, customizations and made by fisherman’s. Also Phoenix’s are getting super popular here in Texas as well.

Jim, you truly are THE BEST Phoenix boat salesman on TH-cam! I’m in love with these boats, been in love, but you keep posting videos that separate Phoenix from the rest of the competition. You need a coupon code so you can get a kickback, lol
That Phoenix is a nice looking and running Bass Boat. From what I seen in the video , You're Phoenix looks like it performs just about like My Stratos 201 Pro Elite Dual Console. I would love to have a New Phoenix Dual Console with Either a Evinrude G2 250 H.O. A Mercury 250 Pro XS Or a Suzuki 250 SS. But thanks to the Crazy Inflation , I'll just keep what I have for Now.
I have rode in 2 different Phoenix boats, if it is not a double console, your getting wet, ride is good though, but I run an xb02 allison with a15" 300 x, best boat made, no wood, completely fiberglass, and not rated by the coast guard, so he might see me for a second as I'm coming by him at 100mph +
I love my Phoenix but the trailer is horrific. This will probably prevent me from buying another one. I have spent a grip of money getting this trailer repaired
Love my phoenix, comfy ride but rode in better! Phoenix should put more into friggin plumbing lines cause im tearing into it today to find a leak in plumbing!!
I don't know if I agree with all of those reasons but I know that Phoenix has one hell of a contingency program which I respect 100%.. give back to those who have given to you!! I think rangers contingency program is a joke because you got to give up your first born for a plain Jane basic boat whether it's a nitro or a Triton or a ranger unless you got an extra 20 grand in your pocket to put all the goodies on it you're paying 80 grand for a bare Bones boat with no spot lock one small graph in the front and one small one in the back and a regular AGM cranking battery from the factory and for $80,000 I think you should get more than that!! ✌️. And for all those reasons I would probably pick Phoenix over a white water boat any day.. but I run Stratos so I'm not even in the argument, and I love it! 🤣😂🤣✌️
Phoenix is a nice boat. I had a 2019 21 PHX w/Mercury 250 V8. I sold mine for an Allison. It was the little things I didn't like about the boat. Carpet coming up, I had to replace every slam latch in the boat and the ride is average at best for a heavy 2,100 lbs. plus boat. I believe the quality control could be better and the marine master trailer is AWFUL! I don't know any Phoenix owner that likes the trailer. Just to many issue for the price Phoenix is asking. My Allison is superior in rough water and speed needs no explanation. Phoenix is definitely not the best bass boat made in Tennessee. But they are nice boats.
@@Dropshot1 What sucks about the trailer ? The spindle is welded to the Axl. So if a bearing goes bad ( which is inevitable ) you will need to replace the entire Axl if the spindle gets damaged. And it's highly likely it will be damaged. It would be better if the spindle attached to the Axl with a big castle nut. This way it could easily be replaced, even on the side of the road. Also the rubberized coating that is sprayed on all the trailers eventually cracks. Then water gets between the rubber coating and the steel. Rots it out. A painted trailer is better. A heavy aluminum trailer is best and should be the industry standard. Especially for the price.
I wouldn’t trade my Ranger 492 for one of these. All of these new boats are grossly over priced. Let’s see thing take on some real rough water and come up to Lake Erie, it would turn into a submarine.
