You should try putting with a Westside Maiden. They are a thin beaded putter, and they are extremely comfortable to drive and putt with. Ive been using them for both now for about 3 years and would love to see your take on it!
Actually thought the same when he said he likes shallow but didn’t take to the Tomb. The tourney X threw fairly straight for me and I get more glide on the BT hard for putting.
I always try to get to JR by 9:30 on weekdays. Usually you can just walk on and cruise for the 1st lap. By 11 it starts to get crazy. Never played there on a weekend. I'd love to see a video from Interlocken. Under-rated course IMO. Only 9 pins though.
Try the Lat64 Hope for putting! Basically a more shallow version of the P2/Aviar/Alpaca but same shape. The 1st runs were the best and then they got a smidge more deep but still less than the mentioned discs.
Are they going to royally screw up the flight numbers again so it matches that "slightly more stable luna" description in the numbers and give a straight putter like 3 3 1 4 flight numbers
This has been what I've been wondering. I've thrown almost EVERY luna release. I would say a Luna on average is 3/4/-1/1. And if the kratos is "3/4/0/2" as they seem when AB threw them.... I'm curious if they just change the speed to '2' and make it a 2/3/0/2" and try to ignore the luna. lol

Maybe since they still have the Luna marking in the mold, this is a very early revision, and whatever mold pieces have the Kratos markings in the mold will be deeper or more stable with slightly different tooling

I think that's essentially what people were seeing and feeling when they threw these discs. At this time, aside from you, that appears to be Ryan Monn, Swanky, AB, and Pete Ulibarri on TH-cam.
from what i've read/ heard it is just a luna with a bead. so if you like lunas but like beaded putters than it might be the putter for you. i am going to try it as i love beaded putters

I know you want to be a good in-line putter, but you're one of the best straddle putters I've seen (well, when you were doing it regularly). Why not try straddle for anything in birdie range and go in-line for longer putts? Just a suggestion. 😊 Keep up the great work!!

maybe discraft doesn’t have the flight numbers up because realistically this is their best opportunity to finally make the luna flight numbers more accurate. maybe make the luna a 3, 3, -1, 2 and the kratos a 3, 3, 0, 2 and make that switch part of the announcement for the first run of publicly-available kratoses.
In your putter wars be careful of developing paralysis through analysis. What it comes down to is if a particular disc does what you want and what you expect. Who cares about the profile and the bead and the color? Can you call your shot and execute without thinking about it? Does it feel good in your hand? Don’t go down the rabbit hole of “X disc ‘should’ do Y” and then trying (or unconsciously adjusting) to force it to behave.
I got so excited when I saw a disc named Kratos and was so unimpressed when they gave that god a slow disc. Love mythology, never throw Discraft though.
This is why i throw DGA :-). All the molds are readily available and do not have extreme variations of their flights and they only sport around 20+ molds vs 100+. They are made by discraft too LOL

Discraft just doesn’t have that spot that is popular, I throw a P model OS and PA3 now and the P model OS is what I wanted the Luna to be, and the PA3 is what replaced my Luna. The Luna was too touchy IMO.
I just switched to the PA3 also. Normally I don’t like beaded putters, but the PA3 is just that good. I like neutral putters and the PA3 is pretty straight. Plus it’s not very deep for a beaded putter, especially compared to something like the Dagger from latitude 64. I prefer thinner profile putters.

After watching AB throw the Kratos it was hard to imagine it would go so straight? Like the guy rips and he was saying they were stable

The Sacred Discs Gnome in aroma plastic is one of the best putters I have ever used. Just wish they weren’t $25 a piece

That mellow fade may be an elevation thing. Less air means there's less drag on the disc so the disc has less force slowing its spin.
Discs are more overstable at high elevation due to less air density.
