We just moved houses and there is so much organizing and decorating that needs to be done. So lets do it!! I will take you along on all of these little projects with me of how I organize and decorate my Orthodox Jewish Home. Settling into our new home has had its challenges due to me working full time. I had to sneak in a few hours here and there- and its definitely a labor of love that I am so thankful for.
In this weeks video I will be showing you how we set up our entry way table, kitchen organization including my small pantry organization in my kitchen, master bedroom closet organization, and showing you how we hang up our curtains.

Thanks so much for this video. I moved into a new home last month and I’m working on these same things, pantry, curtains. Plus bathroom, office, etc it takes awhile to figure out the best places for things. It’s a lot of work, but it will all be great.

Wow, you and Mr. Prep have done a great job on getting the new house organized. I love the window treatments and the pot lights throughout your house. Your new house is lovely! I really like the curtains. Especially the sheers. I love the way they billow with a breeze. Nice you have your husband who is handy although I have no doubt you would be able to hang curtains by yourself. Take care of yourself. I hope you haven’t a good week 🌴

I really loved this video. May I do a suggestion in ur closet. If you can change your hangers to all be the same style and color would look even beautiful and better. Also get some baskets for the top shelf to hide some of the clothing and you can place tags to remember what you have inside of them. It will also help to look nice. I know that you recently moved so everything will be on the slow pace. Just wanted to give some suggestions.

One recommendation that really helped me was closet dividers. They insert into shelves and keep stacks of clothes from toppling over. I got the plastic ones in bulk on Amazon but you can also splurge and go for the acrylic ones for a nice clean look

Yes, I have a set of "house rags" to wear for cleaning and cooking- basically all day long. They're all too big, and a bit tattered and faded, but who cares. No one sees me but the cats :) :)

Always put on other clothes when coming home. Sometimes already change when possible in car in order not to wear out/ use up/ stain my nice outfits for work and put on comfie shoes. I learnt this working on a farm ;)

Clear containers are very helpful for kitchen organisation but can I ask why did you take them from the box and fill with flour without washing first?
The containers were all washed. I did not include that in the video because it is implied.

I really enjoyed the organizing in the closet. I transition the closet as weather changes to warm hot and cold season. I put seasonal clothing in another closet. It is also a good time to delete throw or donate. You motivate me to keep on organizing. I think maybe you don’t need to go shopping for a while. Your husband did a really good job hanging curtains. The tiara is sentimental and lets you see the years as they pass by. Congratulations on your new home. Mimi

I need you to come to my house. My bedroom is upside down. I need to donate/ recycle clothes and if I do that I won’t have a problem . When I sew myself something I remove two or three items and recycle them, so it’s gradually improving. Yes, I wear the same 10% but I’m emotionally attached to some things. It’s ridiculous!!
I can totally understand that some things are just hard to give up or give away….

I was an inner city ghetto/barrio school teacher. Girls, even little ones, are brutal about what a teacher is wearing. I found simple dresses that could be varied with shawls or scarves or paste jewelry kept the catty meows to a minimum. But make no mistake. Kids and schools are rough on a teacher and her clothes, especially nylons/pantihose. No matter how many times I sanded wooden chair seats, I went through a pair a day. Runners. Grrrr!
For my closet I have loved the velvet covered flat hangars from Amazon - they are very reasonable and everything hangs close together. Nothing falls off the hangar no matter how silky. Just changing the hangars ‘magically’ made room in the closet. Then I organized by type and color.

Good, wonderful morning to you all! Sonya. I'm pretty sure all us ladies tend to gravitate to wearing the same 10 or so items all the time. They're convenient, easy and comfortable. Sometimes, there is just something about all the others hanging there that just won't feel "right" at the time - whether one blouse might feel a little itchy (lol) or one makes us feel a little too warm or stuffy... What I'm trying to say is that you do you and it's absolutely normal! I love how you organized everything! Thanks for the tips and the inspiration. I've been ill, so I'm trying to do a little at a time. I keep saying I'll get there eventually...

I used to have wardrobes that were full of clothes. I had a clear out I made sure I had three of everything. So I had 3 winter, 3 summer skirts, 3 jumpers , 3 cardigans for winter and 3 for summer and 3 pairs trousers . I feel so much better now. The amount of clothes... I changed one of our bed rooms into a wardrobeof the season. Off-season clothes and bags still don't fit there. My personal disaster zone
I love storing my flours in those canisters. I am a widow and live alone, so I store my grains in my freezer. Anything that might go rancid is protected this way.
So nice what a nice home what a nice apron your kids made. Lamps in kitchen look great. Hope you will show how you separate meat and dairy in refrigerator sometime Thank you.
