Thanks. Even a private BMW mechanic that priced better than the dealer said I needed to replace the whole unit. Quoted me $600 for one inside and one outside. BMW dealer was more. I purchased the led boards off Amazon. The bulbs off Bimmerworld (great prices). Did both in 30 minutes thanks to these videos!
$600 for $40 and 30 mins. I know they need to make some money. But this is like a $200 job max. Glad I was able to help out!

Hi I bought a whole new lens, and it doesn't have any where to hook up the board like the old one does. Can you explain how to transfer the harness to the new one?

6:12 are the controller boards the same part for both lights?
Answer: Yes - I found out by testing it.
Thanks for the video. With this video and another one that helped me figure out how to remove the smaller tail light, I have fixed both lights shown in this video. I had trouble removing the small light until I saw the other video. It would have been helpful to show the actual “push and slide” removal. Thanks!
What if it's not the board?
My 2014 x3 xdrive35i driver side taillight doesn’t have a led board
Not all are the same. If it doesn’t have the same board like ours does I’m not sure how to fix it

I also just had a new radiator installed and I don’t have any cool air . I was charged 1,500 for a new radiator and oil change . RIDICULOUS
