I just got the DX350. I had this one (DX 400) back in the late 90s till I got my custom built 4 pill (2879s). Not the cleanest or most efficient amp, but it does a great job for it's price. I had a Palomar 200 before that and the DX 400 blew it out of the water.
With all respect if u take this amp to 200 rms your crowding it ... honestly 160 is the happy place ran theae amps for over 27 yrs great amp beat amp tezas start makes along side rhe killer bee
45 peak drive ..never proud a amplifier with modulated drive..leave the deadkey from radio around 1 -1/2 watts drive makes 50 deadkey from amp swings over 500 plus

The 400 has padded stages of 3
No need to over drive this amp a standard 4 watt radio is perfection for longevity
The amp should do 45-160 RMS

He had the meter set on average power I do believe Peak power probably would have been somewhere between 4 and 5
