According to The World in 2050 report by international professional services firm PwC, in 30 years, six of the seven of the world’s largest economies will be today’s emerging economies, surpassing the US (dropping from 2nd to 3rd), Japan (dropping from 4th to 8th) and Germany (dropping from 5th to 9th). Even relatively smaller economies like Vietnam, the Philippines and Nigeria will see huge leaps in their respective rankings over the next three decades.

As an Indonesian and friends with both North and South Korea will be unified in the future and no more DMZ or US Military bases. Can nyone explain to me why Australia isnt included in this list? It doesn't make sense, with the phasing out of fossil fuels by 2050 and coal being a big player in the AUST economy alone would make sense. But Australia being a mining super power and a leader in developing technology in extraction of minerals and with considerable Rare Earth Deposits, Iron Ore, Uranium, Copper etc. the demand for AUD in the market place will only increase. Australia has memberships in several trade groupings most notably the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) currently negotiating with India, European Union, Great Britain and the U.S. All of these partners will heavily rely on Australian mining products in the future, this means that Australia's PPP will inevitably increase based solely on mining alone. Then if you look at other Australian export sectors like education, services, agricultural and a ewapwcted regional financial services provider this will only add to the PPP rate in Australias favour. I'm not talking about a small amount of dollars here either, Australia will only grow as a preferred supplier due to strong financial regulations (stable government (that never has been prone to making irregular decisions around key economic and social policy) and a highly trained modern and well equipped workforce. In 2022 Russia shrunk by about 2.5%
We don't know what will happen this year. Russias own institutions are predicting a 2-3% decline. The IMF is predicting 3% growth, but we will need to see.
Russia has been pretty much blocked by 50% of the global economy which means 50% fewer places that invest and do business with Russia.
And Russia is heavily sanctioned and things such as tech sanctions will start to weigh on Russia as tech advances over a few years but Russians have a hard time updating to keep up.
The prediction is that over the next maybe 20 years, Russias invasion of Ukraine will have slowed Russia down so much that Russians will have lost about a decade of growth compared to if Russia was not attacking Ukraine and was not seen as a aggressor.
