My dear neighbor worries about his forsythia encroaching on my driveway. (We live in an old neighborhood with narrow lots.). Plus he doesn’t like the looking ‘shaggy’. So he trims them 2-3 times each summer, and wonders why they never flower. Sigh.

Can you shape and spiral Forsythia

I’ve seen forsythia clipped as a hedge and as domes but not as spirals. I’m sure it’s possible though.

These bushes are more like weeds. You literally can’t kill them.
