As a comedy nerd, this is so great. The Dave Attell stuff is awesome to hear. I saw him once and almost passed out from his rapid fire hilarious jokes.

Dave Attell is the greatest ever. I've been struggling with anxiety and feeling depressed for weeks and felt so fucking bad yesterday. I watch one of his clips and he made me laugh SO hard, I just completely forgot everything and felt amazing for an hour or so because of it. I love Dave.
Kevin Hart really killed it this episode.

It was great to see Mark and Sam together outside of their home podcast. They really shone here in a serious analysis/discussion about our beloved comedy world. They have such valuable and informed insights and commentary about the field. Highlighting Mark was a fitting end to this stellar panel show. I could have watched for another couple hours.

Truth. Attell is the King. Insomniac was one of the greatest shows of all time. His best line was on that show. He says to someone's dog at an outdoor bar: "oh now you're quiet? You're not so quiet when you're telling me to kill hookers"

Attell's brain is so twisted it wraps back all the way around. I believe he straddles both our current Dark dimension and our old home dimension.

it's how every comic feels watching themselves. that's what makes the show great. we aren't just watching other comics from a pedestal, we are on the hook too.
@@stevebyrnecomedy Not just comics, most people dislike how they sound recorded and I'm not an exception. The sound your skull makes to your ears differs quite a bit from what a mic would gather right next to it.

The fact the mark doesnt want to listen to himself is so pure... One of my favourites. Keep doing this, its awesome!!
One thing not mentioned was how good Dave is transitioning from one joke to the next. It’s seamless
master class.
The part where you guys react to Attell really cements how respected he is amongst his peers. It's rare to seem comics laugh watching another comic in general but to see 4 headliners losing their shit at Attell is all the confirmation anyone needs to know that Attell is the greatest! Awesome episode Steve, keep em coming!

Being a comedy nerd who enjoys being a fly on the wall you most likely already know this but check out the "Fly on the Wall" podcast. It's David Spade and Dana Carvey and the premise is they have on people who have in some way shape or form been involved with SNL; cast members, writers, even just someone who hosted one time.
It's very much "fly on the wall" (hence the name) and comedians talking about comedy. Of course it's funny too but it definitely gets into the weeds of comedy.
And that's my diatribe.

I saw Attell live recently and literally the first words out of his mouth killed, just a comment about the Winter Olympics and it was non stop laughs. Amazing.
You can tell Sam is heavily influenced by him, I saw Sam before Attell and then I was like: “oh, Sam was just doing Attell” hahaha (no disrespect)
We are all influenced by Dave. Coming out of NYC, absolutely

The more I listen to Mark Normand the more I realize this guy study’s comedy. It’s crazy to hear someone break down a comedians way of doing things and he can do it about any of the greats. I love it.

Steve this is incredible! Perfect way to have "newer" algorithm amazing comics to react to legends! What does at is do? Shines light on our favorite comics and shows how the respect those came before them! Mitigates the gap between a few generations! I see this happen on hip hop reaction vids!

Hi Steve, I saw you live finally when you did a supermarket gig recently in La Jolla (comedy store). Small crowd but you didn't disappoint! Love hearing comedians talk about Dave. I'v been lucky enough to see him a couple of times. There's jokes and there's Dave Attell jokes.

Mark and Sam are hilarious! Sam’s documentary on returning to comedy after Covid was a great watch! A lot of talented comedians make an appearance. Also his Rodney impression is top notch.
Rodney is a gem! Great one liners. Fun observations. He’s like a fun uncle!
Bruce Bruce is all around funny. He exudes confidence and pizzazz!
Dave Attell is a comedy genius! Everything he says and does is comedy! Every word and movement make the joke even better. He also has the Best crowd work skills!
