Watching this takes me back in time. I know people will hate me for saying this, but as a child I liked Crash Team Racing more than the Crash Bandicoot series. I liked both of them but this game was my favorite.

Crash team racing even rivals mario kart 8. If it isn't for the better graphic and the multiplayer, crash team racing would have won. Crash team racing has a story system and the gameplay asks you to be more present, the shortcuts are tricky and rewardful (Imagine shooting at a door that opens itself and you just drive through it), the drifting system and the powerful jumps. I wish there were a newer version of this game

12:27 That was honestly one the slickest moves I've seen in CTR. You managed to land that beaker trap right in front of Pinstripe just before getting launched by the nitro panel.

Hold R1 until the exhaust turns black then press L1,L1,L1 but you have to time it just right

Honestly, I remember the day when I was four and my mum bought this for me from Game for £5 when I came home from school.
I also remember not having a memory card for ages so I always had to start from the beginning.
I'm 16 and I'm going to cry because I miss my innocent childhood too much!
Andrew98 Yeah hahahah me too no memory card so its a tough job to get to the end
same, but for some reason i had no problem starting from beginning as the game it self was fun.
also dont forget that it make real friendship as if you want to play together, there were no such thing as *online* so you have to sit in the same room :)

Dark Riser Zerin if they remake this they NEED to add in online play, it's something most Crash fans want including myself. Online play would keep me on this game for years to come like the original did when I was a kid

Dark Riser Zerin like the new ps4 crash game, the developers have to create the game from the beginning, since the ps1 codes are different from the ps3,ps4, so it will take a lot of work, not just the graphics!

I've defeated this entire game numerous times and is it just me, or does Oxide take a head start in the race?
He does. If you look closely, Oxide starts about a second before you do.

I'll never forget my disc was scratched up and would often freeze at the loading screen. I must've restarted this game 5 to 10 times a day as a kid. So much fun though

meh i spent months beating all N. Oxides time trial ghosts to unlock him and he wasn't even a playable character. Total bullshit.

Nice aim on Papu papu on 2nd lap, also with Komodo Joe and your potion on Pinstripe. Another + For blocking pinstripes jump on the ramp = Over all Beast

For me the hardes boss was Pinstripe. Oxide wasn two hard, i beat him in the first try (both oxide races), but Pinstripe´s race was a pain for me :s
I hardly even remember exactly how long it took me to beat Nitrus Oxide since I was roughly 6 years old. I thought Nitrus was difficult, but I do recall beating him several times with ease at one point.
Most of the other bosses were easy with the slight exception of Papu Papu. It really depends on the map. The pinstripe was easy because power sliding was made easy imo.
That Indian boss gave me such a hard fucking time. I'm nowhere near soft but he would be me so badly I would lose and go cry in the bathroom. It took me like a month to beat him and by the time I did, I was sweating so badly I could have saved 3 African villages.

Me my bro and sis used to play this every day in the summer. Imagine having NO memory card. We had to start from the beginning everyday but finally one day we BEAT the game. Lol we celebrated by doing the boost brake thing in a circle for about two mins haha
