- He always returns for his spawn... it's hard to imagine what compels our father to want to bait us into hunting him down, but I assume Jecht would prefer to be destroyed than remain another day as the thing he sought to destroy ten years ago. Some fates are worse than death. I'm just worried if Sin always resurfaces... could someone in our party become the next Sin. Side note - Kimahri is my favorite... hands down. The way he protects and speaks about Lady Yuna. He's secretly the biggest teddy bear of them all!

This is quickly turning into my favorite FFX playthru ever. I love hearing your perspectives and seeing your reactions. These uploads can’t come fast enough for me.
Just a quick tip: Any Aeon that has elemental powers you can use it against itself to heal. Take Ifrit for istance. You can use Fire on himself to heal.
I never thought of that and I have beat all the dark aeons lol
@@Kimdk87 I found out by accident years ago during one of my playthroughs. I was rushing through a fight and made Ifrit use Firaga on himslef, and panicked. When I saw that it healed instead I thought "Well it makes since" lol
@@PrincessAki2009 It makes total sense. Great tip
FfX is so perfectly paced. Whenever I think of your next video, I am excited because there is one or two scenes that are top-notch. Loving your playthrough and your connection to the characters. From now on, the game gets a little harder, but the design and strategies of the boss foghts are really well done.
That scene of such devastation and destruction from Sin. Still looks terrifying but also an amazing scene that still looks great to this day. The icing on the cake is everybody’s emotions and reactions towards the devastating aftermath 👌
Funny you would mention school and this game. This game was released in Europe just before summer break and one of my most cherished memories is spending almost that whole summer on this game. This series and in particular this game is so incredibly special to me.
One way to enrichen your FFX playthrough is by talking to your party (and any voiced character) until their voice lines have been exhausted. If you talk only once to people you'll be missing out on a lot of voice lines that further flesh out the characters and the world at large. A lot of (good) dialogue is hidden!
This. Always talk at least twice, and sometimes a 3rd time
Yep! Like back on the ship before the Kilika stuff happened, there's a lot more to the conversation between Wakka and Lulu that you can hear, as an example.
Time for Operation Mi'ihen! The Crusaders will defeat Sin once and for all and the rest of the game will be a mai tai sipping minigame on the beach.
Just a tip (if you didnt already find out), elemental summons like Ifrit can heal themselves by casting black magic of their element on themselves (e.g. fire magic heals Ifrit, i think Valefor cant)
Thanks a lot, I re-installed FFX and booted it up. I was actually right after the chocobo eater fight. I made it a ways to collect some blitzers and now I'm back into the Blitzball league.
Lol Disco Spider is the best part of the playthrough, and I haven't even started watching 🤣 I love it already!
I usually do the sphere grid near a save spot. Keep in mind that if you die in battle you have to do it all over again. Man, the time flies while watching you. See you next episode!
You brought me back to 2008. I enjoyed playing this game. The music makes it more special. That game has its fans .
Two tips for quick healing: touching the save spheres fully heals your party and aeons. Also while in the game menu, if you go to “ability” you can use Yuna’s cure spells from there and heal your party without the need to do it while in combat. It will still consume MP though
Damn, that game over just before the save point was brutal. Also Kasta's breakdown on Tidus is so spot on. Incredibly insightful for a first time playthrough.
It was after the savepoint though. She didnt save and walked right passed it twice. so its 100% her own fault. This game can be brutal in that you can get ambushed, and whole party turned to stone and game over and there is literally nothing you could have done except have on proper equipment for that scenario. Lesson learned: See a save point, SAVE.
This one’s going to be really good
This is where things get REAL! So happy to see the next part of this amazing playthrough :)
The music around 2:18:40 is so good. Very melancholic.
It's called Wandering Flames. I've been using it for years a chill/sleep music.
Disco Spider!
You’re picking up on the turn based combat really well. Once you get comfortable you’ll get into a nice flow with it.
I'm impressed you caught the city on Sin on your first play-through! I played this many times as a kid and never noticed it until I was much older
I was nervous you wouldn’t like the combat but I love that you see it more as a mini game :) this is my favorite game 😊
📝 Important Note: HP & MP are replenished whenever you touch a save sphere.
Ooof, this one is always emotional. It's stuck with me since first experiencing it as a kid. "When will Yuna stop dancing?"
(also, not to bring this up to much, and I'm commenting before too far in the video, but please believe me when I say that haste is your best friend in this game.)
I just want to say that that was well played against Sinspawn Gui, Kasta! Normally this is where players first struggle with a boss fight and may even see a party wipe, but you did very well in taking him down and on your first try. :) Happy to see you enjoying the battles, Sphere Grid, and the story!!
Praise be to Yevon for this playthrough
Another amazing vid Kasta im loving this playthrough, a quick tip remember you have to use the square button to scout for Blitzball players just talking to them regularly won't tell you if they play or not but if they do play hitting square will bring up a Blitzball Stat page on the screen.
let's goooo (congrats on the 100k subs btw). I love the Kimahri bit in this episode, he never talks, but when he does it's super powerful.
Your timing is impeccable!! I just finished making dinner and can’t wait to watch
The game is being so nice to you with Wakka's elemental reel overdrive. The last reel always gives you the same element twice in a row making it much easier to get. I played the original PAL Region version and the last reel never had the same element twice together and it was a trap.
Had to come into the office on Saturday and you upload a 2+ hour segment? Hell yeah!
Been waiting for this bit since you started, i find it an epic sequence with brilliant music through the whole part. Loving the playthrough, time to grab the popcorn
Ps, sorry about the allergies 😮💨
As a fun fact, Sin offers a demonstration of Black Magic scaling. Gravity, or Demi as it got translated overseas, is a nonlethal spell that just does some of your current HP as damage. In lore, you just feel heavier.
Gravira, the -ara version, can slam a person into the ground. You ain't moving.
Graviga is more brutal, straight up embedding a person into the ground as if you were buried under severe weight. Think of it as g force pushing down on you.
What Sin is using? That purple energy? That is being hit with enough gravitational force that you now fit inside of a thimble.
That is Gravija. -aja being the fourth power scale. As you saw, it doesn't leave a body. That is what happens to a nonlethal spell at -aja scaling... Imagine what happens with Fire or Blizzard.
It's another nice Saturday afternoon with more Final Fantasy X: Int'l
with Kasta and Ginger have a wonderful weekend my friends.🥓🐈:)
Another amazing Saturday afternoon with more Final Fantasy X: Int'l I'm so excited for this awesome playthrough!! 🎉🎉
Lulus overdrive is rotate the sticks as fast as you can
Friendly tips I didn’t see in other comments:
The skill “power break” is just a normal attack that lowers enemy attack strength, so using it to finish off enemies is wasting MP.
The “extract” skills like extract speed are just normal attacks that make enemies drop spheres at the end. They don’t do anything to the enemy’s stats and aren’t super useful tbh.
You can shorten the Aeon summon animation!
Also! By pressing the Square button, your characters will Defend (short action), and by rotating all your characters in, they’ll all get AP!
Triangle for defend
Excited to see how deep you end up going on this one.
I think once you get deep into the sphere grid and finding some of the secrets you will be hooked.
Im not counting out a future blitzball player here either lol
I love your energy playing this game, I'll eagerly wait for every one of the videos!
Yay thank you so much hope you are having a blast much love hopefully everyone has a great weekend
i havent played in a while, but if i remember right. up and down goes between enemy and friendly. left and right cycles between the different targets. you seem to have a bit of trouble with selecting what you want.
loving it so far :)
Quick Tip: You can heal outside of battle. In the Ability Menu you can use cure and also in the item menu you can use potions.
Hey kasta congrulation for 100k subscribers🎉🎉🎉❤❤.
You're awesome ❤️
You’re picking this up so quickly! Hoping you see this, learn to cure your allies out of battle by going to Yuna’s abilities in the main menu, you’ll save yourself so many battle turns that way if you go into fights with full health.
"And you can't get a lot for a dollar these days, not even gum". So true.
Yevon's gonna be ticked..
Congrats on 100k!!🎉
Another fantastic playthrough Kastaclysm ❤❤😁😁.
That's the part that you get and after all the cinematics think: how the hell am I supposed to eventually beat that? Hahahaha
Don't know if you checked on Google for this, but in Lulu's overdrive you need to rapidly rotate the controller stick to charge (the more powerful the spell, the harder it is to charge though). And a tip to save Auron's MP: power break is only useful against monster that hit hard physically . If it only hits you with magic, it won't be much of use (and I think it has the same average dmg of regular atk).
Really loving your playthough. Keep it up! :)
Kweh!! There's a PS1 Chocobo Racing game btw (more like a kart racer) Doesnt get alot of love, but I had fun with it back in the day.
fyi whenever you use the 'distill power/speed/etc' skill, it forces the enemy to drop spheres of that type, which (i think) will replace any items that enemy would usually drop
I actually like how Tidus was written and portrayed....minus the lforced laughing scene 😅
Different from someone like cloud and Clive. What do you think would happen if cloud and Tidus were to interact ? 🤔
you make me love ffxv again like the first time a little girl played it, thank u so much 🥺❤
Btw, many do miss that but at 2:15:48 just before the Boy enters the Szene you do see an familiar Face... or... Men rather. And well...
I’m sure by now you know but at the top of the screen it tells you what action to use for overdrives, in Lulus case rotate the right analogy stick as fast as you can
Sinspawn Gui is the first skill check of the game, FFX pretty much takes the gloves off with that fight lol. I was stuck on it on my first playthrough when I was a kid, took me months to beat it
I just downloaded this and started a new play-through :D
edit 1: you will - NOT - get the Fortune Sphere to unlock Kimari's Luck Sphere until end game. It's far more important to level, besides, you can also come back and pick it up later, you can fill literally every node in the grid by the end, heck, if you want to go Try-Hard like me you can swap out every single node for +4's, but you dont need to really bother with that. next, you can go to your menu and select Abilities and use Cure in-between battles to heal up.
edit 2: BE SURE TO TALK MULTIPLE TIMES UNTIL PEOPLE REPEAT THEMSELVES! Shalinda, on the road, the young priestess you met along the road can full heal you unlimited times, you just needed to talk to her again.
edit 3: Lulu's Overdrive; spin your left analog stick as fast as you can
22:52 - "I wonder if you can steal spheres and stuff."
Yes, that's what you're Extract Abilities are for. (Extract Speed, Extract Power, Extract Mana, Extract Ability) they ensure you drop X spheres if you need to farm for them.
Im 3 minutes in and im already grinning from ear to ear 😂
Maggie makes my day 💯🍻!
I was hoping a FFX video of yours would drop today. Its my bday and im recovering from some surgery, and this will really help some time fly by while im stuck in bed for the time being.
I’m pretty sure her normal rotation is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 3 PM CST. Btw happy b day!!
@@morningfog532 thank you muchly.
Oof Operation Mi'hen not exactly textbook.
There's a theory video about it being intentionally set up to fail by using sin to wipe out all of Spira's "undesirables" And to be honest, after watching it and then seeing the operation again, it seems plausible the whole thing was a trap.
Auron pretty much just outright states this, not sure what the entire theory side of it could be.
It's so hard to watch her messed up sphere grid
Unfortunately, for some reason, pausing in ffx doesn't stop the in game clock.
Oh crap, I still have half of your last video watch still. 😮 Must catch up!
People die and Yuna dances….. sadness indeed
I’ve always grinded levels in this game, so I don’t know if it’s possible to beat it without grinding, but I will still recommend grinding cause your team just seems very fragile next to the mobs they are fighting.
I normally just used “flee” liberally while traveling and then grinded near save spheres.
Gonna need a disco spider emote 😅
100k🎉
Nearly 3 hours? You spoil us. 😁
1:18:32 when I saw this, I literally said “NOOOO!” out loud 😆 that was painful to witness.
is that time telling military PTSD or experience lol
yay Kasta 🔥 im ready 👀
Yuna's face got messed up in the HD version, unfortunately. Somehow they made it *less* emotive, like she's had botox or something :/
It's my single biggest gripe with that version, given how central her and her emotional journey are.
Yes, I’m glad Maggie is playing the OG. I’ve played the remaster multiple times and haven’t played the PS2 version since the mid-2000s; I’d forgotten what the OG face models looked like. they’re waaaay better than the “HD” versions.
Small tip but you can just defend too with your characters if you need them to skip turns to get to the one you wanna use.
On the ps2 controller its the triangle button but dont know if you have the same one?
Please pet the disco ball spider for luck sphere.
I like how they're portraying Seymour as this weirdo who is kind of sus but also kind of rebellious, and is saying things we as an audience agree with. It's kind of ruined by the incredibly insidious music that plays every time he shows up though 😂
Looks like you just broke 100k. Enjoy your new plaque.
Clicked so fast :)
You really should heal yourself after battles, makes it not so hard at the beginning of battles
I rather enjoyed this video. In the original version of the game, they still called machines, machina.
You'll learn a lot more about lady Yunalesca and lord Zaon later, but just so you know, Yuna was named after her.
She played 11 hours straight of silent hill but only 3 hour vids of ffx?
Actually the face models of the OG version are better, as well as their animations. They lost the original data of the game and they redid all of them.
Hey Kasta, you should super play the Metal Gear saga
Best to donate gill to O'aka, he will have better items you can buy later.
You should look up how O'aka works.
