I have a question to people that went through protocol or have the knowledge in regards #2. Doesn't Fr. Riperger says to pray this prayer ONLY if your parish priest thinks you are strong enough morally and physically to do so? Otherwise demons might get furious and turn your life upside-down. On their website it says if you pray it, it is as if you joined.
I also have in the last few years, at 3pm every day - I try to pause to thank my Lord for his passion and death, for his body & blood, for being the holy Lamb of God, etc a respectful pause and acknowledgment. Now I need to work on the Angelus.
For 3pm feel free to pray the 3 o'clock prayer for Divine Mercy! It helped me get through some tough times
I've tried to pray the Divine Mercy Crown at that time to various degrees of success. Maybe when I'm unable to, I'll try your practice. Thanks.

I bought the CD of it years ago but there’s probably a way to download it today. I STRUGGLE with disciple of any kind since I quit working and I’m so glad this video happened to appear for me.

Try The Rosary Prayer. Ask the Virgin Mother Mary to pray it with you! I get comfortable in bed. Like I’m ready to sleep! With lights out and Start! I count on my fingers and get as far as she takes me, until I’m a sleep. Could be a decade or two or three. Then I continue wherever I think we were, when I awake until done!
She is my mother and fine with my good attempts!
She never fails me! I’m free from over 20 years of Ambien sleeping pills! It worked after a day. 🙏Ave Maria, ❤I love you.
I also wear earplugs to Block out all buzzing sound! It’s good for moms especially boys who play noisy. Your patience can last longer. There is a lot of buzzing swishing sound you live with, that you don’t even think of. It really wears you out!
You can still hear what people are saying, in normal talking voices! I wore Daily earplugs! I can say over 30 years. Invest and try different kinds until you find the ones that are comfortable and fit your purpose for blocking out unnecessary sound. Also great for trips on subways and airplanes! Anywhere in public where there is swishing disturbing noice, like in Malls. A blessing for super sensitive people. We were made for natural sounds.

Ignore remote work across multiple time zones that may hit those times? 6pm and Noon especially - being up all night still get up at 6 and be sleepiy groggy all day?

It doesn't have to be at those times. Being consisted is what he is really saying.
Very very important question!! I work night shift. What about these praying the Angeles at six, noon, and six, what if you work night shift and you have to sleep during the day do I just pray at six in the evening, midnight and six in the morning? Because my day is reversed my night to day and day and night?
Father's advice here is better to be taken as a general rule of encouragement rather than a strict interpretation. The true meaning of what he said is to have a set prayer schedule and follow it.

@@zsedcftglkjh He did not say that, he specifically said people try to talk him into their own times, but it has to be at 6-12-6. He didn't say you can change it to 7-1-7 or 8-2-8. So he must have a reason. Or he would have said that. He is pretty clear and direct in his communication.

Not sure if I m ok where I am. I startet a 54 day Novena on February 1st. To be sure I pray it every day, i put the alarma at 6/7am before work. First I make my Offering Prayer for the entire day,and after I begin the Rosary. I am wrong somewhere? Thk for your time

When I go to church at Sunday, during the mass I always feel like a burn on my chest in the zone of the heart, the sensation is the same when you put an alcohol disinfectant to a wound and always happens there only at that church. The church has a relic of Saint Padre Pio.
Talk to your priest about it. He may give you advice or refer you to someone who knows more.
@RocketScientist1 My parents told me that due to illness when I was just few months after birth, the prayers to Padre Pio, saved me. Now i'm in my 30s I rediscover the Church and my faith only a year or so. I hope it is a good sign.

I am a Christian but do not follow any denomination and am currently reading a book on the history of Christianity and finding it fascinating….yes discipline is very necessary to success in life no matter what your calling or path that you choose to pursue….hopefully it indicates that you are an asset to society….not a fan of Jordan Peterson however.

Is so interesting I have done martial arts for years it help me tremendously with inner demons but when I stared doing kendo who is super regimented something in me was not happy about it and I thought my demons are not happy with this one
I know he’s probably not browsing this comment section, but would love to hear Fr. Ripperger’s thoughts on this: what is the prudent thing to do as a mom of babies under 1 years old who don’t sleep through the night…with frequent nursing and crying/diaper changes throughout the night. Should I still commit myself to this discipline of getting up at 6am every morning when I’m not getting uninterrupted sleep?
I think these things are for people who are not in your situation. Being awake and able to care for a little kids is your primary vocation. Doing that well brings tremendous holiness.
Yeah, a lot of his advice was general. The essence of the advice is better than the strict interpretation.
When our kids were little I would genuflect each time they woke me up, and again when going back to bed, and while I genuflected offer my heart to God with thanksgiving... in the morning I would feel rested and even amazed by God’s loving help. Also, every day after lunch I would pray a Rosary in my bed while the little ones settled for a nap. The older kids could read or pray during this “ quiet time”. Twenty minutes is enough if you’re not sick.
The idea of uninterrupted sleep can become a temptation if we let it.
As for moms of newborns, obviously we have to sleep whenever we can during our own convalescence.
Obviously not, your babies needs are most important. Pray when you can.

The second one was to pray the Auxilium Christianorum prayers 3 times a day. Google it. There is also an app by that title. They are prayers put together by Fr. Ripperger I think. Very good spiritual warfare prayers.

The problem with cleaning your room up is that it makes the rest of your house look that much worse.
It's not that cleaning my room up is hard. Its everything else it leads to that makes things get hard.
I think 3) & 4) are good ideas for most people.
These seem to be a discipline for undisciplined people.
Other than those people this regiment appears to be an attempt at some type of mechanistic spirituality, which I am dubious of.

I just started out reading "Letters from the Holy Ground," today which starts out: "You can't hurry holiness. Holiness takes time."
If I press the snooze button after my alarm goes off in the morning, I find that I'm attacked with nightmares as a result. I did so this morning - and this image of a cute little doll turned into a black spider, who bit me in my right palm. I actually felt the sting and pain. So discipline is a very important thing.

@@catholiccrusader8267 yes. I wear both, and for a long time. I try to give out blessed Miraculous Medals to those I meet, work with, visit in hospital, etc. I have to be vigilant in prayer and, now, simple discipline. The devil attacks you when you're most vulnerable.

Indeed, our hearts must be in the right place. The Rosary is a deep meditation on Scripture.

The Rosary was not used by Jesus, by His apostles, or by the early church fathers. The Roman Catholic Church only started using the Rosary around A.D. 1350. It’s a man made Romanist tradition set along side Scripture!
The concept of praying the Rosary using a string of beads, is never mentioned in Scripture because it is a human invention. It is not biblical and it is not of God!
The “Hail Mary” prayer and “Hail Holy Queen” prayer cannot be found in the Bible. In fact, parts of the prayers are not only unbiblical; they are absolutely heretical!!
I’m on Day 10 of Phase 1 of the protocol and it’s simply exposing how feeble my spiritual life is and has been for some time!

We have to be good forever, with God’s help. Otherwise, we fall into sin and hell. The four things he mentioned are just a basic minimum structure for a healthy soul. The devil will keep trying to trick us or scare us until we are safely in Heaven. The more we are united to Christ, the more His Grace will console us and comfort us and encourage us. We will know God better and the devils will seem like stinking flies....to be ignored or else swatted by prayer!@@anastrawberry8047 Being consecrated to Our Lady is a big help, she protects us from evil and from pesky devils.
It depends on what God wills. Some saints were OCCASIONALLY attacked by devils because they agreed to suffer that to save other souls from an eternity of torments in hell.
As God’s children, we can ask Him and His Holy Mother for protection and a good sleep.
Undisciplined is a major issue but I think the main issue that conservative Catholics need to focus on is the hyper-rigid structure of morality and authority, that causes many youth among traditional Catholic circles to the faith

What about if you're in the state of mortal sin. Can you still pray the protocol or should you stop saying the angelus, the auxilium Christianorum,confiteor,act of contrition and psalm 130?

Keep praying and go to confession. The devil doesn't want you to do either of those.
As soon as you make a sincere act of Contrition, with the firm decision to go to Confession as early as possible, then you are no longer “ in the state of mortal sin”. Millions of “dollars” in debt, but not hell bound. I would pray like the dickens until I got to Confession. And like a grateful child, afterwards.

I think that is indeed a Biblical description of love: “Love is patient” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). Forgiving others as the Lord forgives us is the high mark of love, the perfection we are called to: “Be perfect like your Heavenly Father is perfect”.

The Lord's Prayer when taken seriously in contemplation leads us to illumination after illumination. The Lords Prayer was ingeniously constructed. Apology and Forgiveness carry the energy that leads us to Purge our sins, Illuminates us, and leads us to what is called in the branch of Theology, called Mystical Theology, Divine Union or Enlightenment. Dig a little deeper. It isn't just a simple matter of "you rack-a-disciprine!" Speaking for myself, it was the fact that JBP cared enough about a neglected section of the population to speak the truth to us. I was twenty-five when I first heard JBP and nobody--not the Church, not my parents, not my teachers--ever bothered to tell us those fundamental facts of being a man. I was handed nothing but discipline while growing up and everything still fell apart. Why can't the Church be half as loving and truthful as some random, Canadian, psychologist?

Yep, finding a schedule that works for you is the key. I think that is the essence of what Fr. Ripperger said. Even if his advice may have seemed rigid, I think it is directed at the people who are lax in prayer routine. @@francikeen

That answer refers back to Genesis, these are the three temptations the evil one seduced Eve with. These are the temptations that got Adam to voluntarily give kingship of this world to the father of lies, and the same three temptations he uses when JESUS fasts in the desert. This has NOTHING to do with exterior, this is ALL in secret to the FATHER. I would suggest you read the Bible more thoroughly and understand its theological context, and research the historical teachings of the Church, otherwise referred to as the democracy of the "dead". There is only Catholic or non Catholic. I might also suggest a change in your salutations of people, "dude" reminds me of when my son was 12 and soon outgrew the "dude" phase.
