    Hello Peter,
    Just watched your Greeting video. Looking smashing in your red jump suit.
    Q about servicing 95 Corolla 5-sp manual transmission:
    1) There is no ATF to change on a 95 Corolla 5-spd manual transmission correct?
    2) The only Dexron II ATF I would add to a car w/ manual transmission is in power steering, correct? When does the power steering fluid need to be serviced for a 95 Corolla manual transmission?
    3) My Corolla manual recommends 5W-30 engine oil but all the local shops use 10W-30 motor oil in my car in Texas. What engine oil viscosity, oil filter and gasoline do you recommend I use in my 95 Corolla? It only has 53,000 miles. Should/could I use full synthetic engine oil? Appreciate your input.

    • @PeterFinnTheCarDoctor
      @PeterFinnTheCarDoctor 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ourlegacy Hello. Here are answers:
      1) 5-sp manual transmission gearbox oil replace every 30 000 miles and oil is SAE 80/90 API GL5
      2) You can use in power steering oils like: Dexron type II or III or IIII oils
      3) Engine oil must be the best quality and Mobil 1 full synthetic is my choice. SAE level can be any. Like 5/50 or 20/40. The oil quality matters.

    Hi peter
    I need a big help. Mine is a Toyota Corrolla Year 1997 Car(5A engine). Today while driving, accidentally I changed the gear from 'D' to 'P' before the vehicles fully stops ( At a speed about 5 KMPH) And the engines gave a click .... sound and stopped. After that I drove the vehicle for some km's and it functioned normally.
    I want to know if there will be any damages to the engine due to what happened.Really appreciate all of your feedback.
    Also if something has happened to the engine due to this, will there be any early errors / indications
    Thank you
