Denmark only needed a point and destroyed Romania a month earlier. I remember cutting out the the Romania crest on the flag sticker because I seen Romanian fans doing it. We (Ireland) beat them in the tournament in a penalty shootout.
yes, was a draw 0-0 , then lottery ...the gods was in your side in 1990 , in Italy , despite we had a better national team in my opinion, sometimes in football don't win the better one...everything is possible, for example ,in 1986 , Steaua Bucharest became european champion beating in the final FC Barcelona , on Sevilla Stadium ,a final held in Spain ! against all the odds , Steaua (with all the squad romanian players 100% ,without foreigners !!!) managed to push the match to penalty shootout, 0-0 after 120 minutes , and won 2-0 because the phenomenal goalkeeper, Duckadam, saving 4 penalties in a row !!! so God were in our favour in 1986 , then in 1990 , switch sides for Ireland against Romania... it's karma ! a BALANCE ! God give , but also God takes back ...

Si in campania asta, Stoitchkov e absent in meciurile cu noi si din pacate pentru noi lucrurile se schimba in anii urmatori. De remarcat de la noi , pentru ca nu am vazut aceste meciuri "pe viu", supletea si forta lui Camataru.
