Asa, stumbled on your recipe today as I was craving it. Used exactly your ingredients and amounts. With the exception of 1/2 cup yogurt, cause I saw it on another video. It turned out delicious. Having it right now as writing you. The measurements are just perfect. Thank you from Atlanta Georgia..... going for seconds 😋
When did you add the yogurt
@@sadiabludhi, I added it at with the tomatoes, also I fried the potatoes while browning the onions 6/7 mins, then took them out and added when she did, I found they don’t become mushy that way . 🤲
@@bhappy8892 thank you for the tips, may Allah bless you 😊
@@sadiablud 🤲💞

Hi Shamza, I am from Canada 🇨🇦 and today I cooked this dish. It turned out awesome.
Love your recipes. Thank you. Blessings to you and your family.
Salaam sis ive recently started watching your videos and love how you put the measurements. I find cooking larger portains for bigger groups ie Eid difficult and they dont taste as good as my smaller portions. Please help with this and advise me....I get nervous and don't seem to get the measurements right. Have you any videos on cooking for larger groups and occasions?
We have tried your recipes and they are awesome. Thank you so much for your great recipes. Can you give a recipe for fish and chips?
I'm going to Morrisons.
I’m definitely making this!! Going to add chickpeas and peas instead of potatoes…I’m salivating just thinking about it! Yummm! Thank you so much Shamza! I appreciate you! 🙏🤗
I immediately thought of large white kidney beans. Lidl sell them as Butter Beans, which they are not. Elsewhere in northern Europe, I think they are sold as Spanish Beans.
That's tonight dinner solved.
And a handful of our BPFs for colour, frozen peas!😄😄😄
@@nicktecky55 great idea! I will head to Lidl tomorrow and have a look for those white kidney beans! Thanks!
It's so good! And yes peas and chickpeas work well too. Enjoy
That's a great one to add too. 👍
@@mazzareth The ones in my cupboard are branded Freshona. In my Lidl, they are usually boxed with Chick Peas and Cannellini Beans.
Good luck, the word has been out for some time and you might have to dig at the back!
Nice one Dear.
Rice were fully steamed this time.Good one.Let the Mom cook the food sometimes in videos.
Bless you
Sure 😊 will do at some point

I just made this today. It came out delicious. My husband loved it. I cooked dhal to accompany this. Thanks so much shamza. Pls do chana masala next.
Looks absolutely delicious. Yes I gave one of those rice spoons too. I got it about 25yrs ago in an Asian grocers in Manchester and use it such a lot.
Just an aside. How long cooking time did your potato take as they looked big chunky pieces yet your rice was so perfect. Certainly looked very moreish.
Ive been waiting for this recipe shamza thank you. If i dont want to add any potatoes shall i reduce the salt?
No need to as that was just right.
Just wanted to Thankyou for your channel you are an amazing cook I made your tandoori chicken earlier and WOW! I can’t tell the difference from when I get from my Indian restaurant so I’m now subscribed 🙏🏼❤
Omg that recipe looks amazing. Curiously, do you cook on induction or ceramic electric hob?
So no yogurt was added to this recipe
No.
I know that's just a trick to get inputs as I see all youtubers do it. But nonetheless that spoon you are talking about I hadn't seen one since I was a little boy in Dhaka in the 80's. My mother used it for pulao and biriyani spicifically with big oval shaped dish to serve on the dining table. Now I'm gonna watch the rest of your easy qeema pulao recipe. I think I'm gonna add julienne carrots, raisins and almond to mine also. Then zafarn and kewra for extra mughlai touch as I remember my mother cooking that way. I saw the julienne carrot idea in a massive tajikistan or uzbekistan bawarchi recipe. The raisin and almond I think is standard in pakistani Indian pulao.
It looks so nice but I dont have any tomatoes today
Can you freeze your rice dishes sham?
Yes you can.
Hi sister I love your channel. Can you please please do a post on sweet zarda rice. I've tried so many methods but it never turns out well. I want to make sweet rice that is buttery and soft but rice usually comes out hard or just sticky. 😊
I have one on my channel already, if you search through my old vidoes you'll find my older videos.... th-cam.com/video/T2Mi_nO6apI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=o7SWnTPgDgDSzC5H
I’m going to attempt this today! 😍 if I was using 1kg of meat would I just double everything else?
Yes just double the quantity of all ingredients and enjoy! 😊🙌
I’m curious about the black Cardamom. Should it not be crushed a little open and impart more flavour. Admittedly I have never seen them crushed. Great recipes by the way. Thank you.
You can crush it a little to open them up, but be aware that the seeds can come out and aren't loved by all.
Hi new subscriber here. Firstly, great channel, and I'm particularly impressed with your air fryer tandoori chicken video. I was wondering if you could do a chicken wing video because I used to frequent on a regular basis Lahore Kebab House on the Commercial Road in London's East End. Their chicken wings were from another world, and I was hoping you could maybe replicate them in an air fryer. Ten years ago for sure Lahore Kebab House was the best curry ho. Thanks
I always struggle with making rice and roti on my induction cooker. The heat temperature is always hard to get right so thanks for mentioning what your cooker setting is ( ie 7) and Iv given up on making roti!
If I was to use a ginger garlic paste instead of the cubes how many tablespoons would that be
Ur cooking is so good
Beta
I’m bau chadha from India
Just a suggestion ..I see you have a recipe card which is brilliant. Can you also put in how many people the final dish caters for so we get an idea of how much to make per person. Keep up the great work 😊
Thank you and I've mentioned how many this serves with the ingredients in the description box. Of course this depends on portion sizes, so please bear that in mind.
No turmeric?
Hello would like to know where the aluminium pan was from it didn’t show on the Amazon link
Rice is a bit bland but a good all-round food and filler but needs a little help and what better than a keema. Tasty, warming comfort food and nothing wrong with adding a bit of potato, I would maybe add a handful of peas mind for a extra touch of colour. This one is added to the list :).
Exactly, a staple dish which is elevated with the addition of mince added into it! 😊🙌
Lovely recipe sis ❤ when making pilau, should we always put the lid on for the water to evaporate? Also when can you tell the rice is ready for dhum??
Do we stir the rice after it’s finished dam?
Hope you saved me a bit!! Looks yummy.
Hi,thanks for this x could we use chicken or lamb also? do you make your own garam masala,if so may I ask your recipe please, thanks again..Paul
Hi, Yes you can! Of course I have 😊
I'll link it here: th-cam.com/video/DHuTpowGv4c/w-d-xo.html
Do you soak and wring out the tea towel before you put it on ????
Yes just needs to be damp not wet
How many servings is this roughly please thinkinf of making it for my family z
Hi. Is there halal meat in Sainsbury?
Ours does the Tariq halal range, not all do it as far as i understand.
@MyLittleKitchenRecipes thanks for the answer. Mine doesn't only Tesco does but it's not really fresh. You have no idea how much your step by step cooking videos helped and are helping me. I will share my personal story with you and you will probably understand that what I went through and how you helped me. ❤️
Do you put the lid on after you put the potatoes in?
Sorry Shamza, do you have to cook the rice before adding it to this, or is it cooking in this?
No the rice cooks in the stock, no need to pre boil 👍😊
Where are you from dear and your name if you are comfortable in telling , love your simple recipes and the way you explain it in easy understandable way .
Assalam o alaikum wrwb,stay blessed.
Taste buds where made for curry.
Hello Super. It is one pot biryani.I thought of some variations
Variation 1
For vegetarians:follow the same by omitting keema.Instead add carrot, peas and potatoes.
Variation 2
Garnish with fried cashew .
Variation 3
Add saffron in the end to give colour and aroma.
Nice love from Jhelum Punjab Pakistan we eat here in Pakistan ready made street full of fly's & dust. Hahaha but we get use to

I bought a microwave rice cooker some time ago.ad it came with a flat spoon like yours, except it was plastic.
Can this be done in a rice cooker?
My mom too has the spade spoon. She purchased it from India. It has been with her since ages.😂
great to see your recipe and wishing you a happy 2024 from california! i'm going to try this tomorrow. thx to your videos i'm cooking at home more, and cutting back on restaurants which is better for my health and my wallet, so thanks for that!
That rice spoon explains why my Pakistani father always uses a spatula whenhe Makes rice! I've wondered for years why he did that and now I know! 😂😊
🤣👍
Hi what percentage of lqmb fat do you use?
I used Tilda, washed by Himalayan water.
To get much more flavour from the meat - form into a large patty approx the size of the ring of the hob. Heat the pan to about 400C (200C), add oil and let heat for a few seconds. When smoking, put the patty in the pan and use a spatula to press it down. Do this for about 30~40 secs to form a crust.
When a good, deep brown crust has formed - flip the patty and again, allow a crust to form.
Effectively you’re making a large smashburger - and taking advantage of the Maillard reaction.
When done, break up the patty and go back to the recipe.
Your videos are good as long as I can get past the chewing
Haha I`ve finally found a spoon for my Wife lol only joking of course 🙂
Lol 🤣
Mine went to Spain for a week and got her tongue sunburnt.
Very nice recipe! I will surely be making this soon.
I SPELT NIHARI. WRONG. CORECTING. MY MISTAKE
Why do you cover it with a towel in the end? Why not just place a lid over it and let it cook away?
