Funny thing about pedal brands. I set out 4 years ago to build the ultimate midi programmed heavy metal focused pedalboard. My goal was to use anything but boss. The only reason I didn’t want to use boss is because it’s just too obvious of a solution and there’s so much cool stuff out there. Thousands of dollars and many disappointments later, I have built the ultimate boss pedalboard. Lolol I ended up selling everything I got along the way due to “boss makes this too, except they do it much better” I started this a regular guitarist. I ended this a boss fanboy. And I’m not proud of it.
TC has been owned by Behringer since 2015, that's enough of a roast as it is. Feel like EQD has become "trendy BOSS" with how they are seemingly everywhere now. Also glad to see the Vertex call out. Can't believe people support that guy. Now i have to see his dumb face pop up on TH-cam. He wants to be JHS so bad haha JHS sucks too but whatever 🤷♂️
Ya know, that fact completely slipped my mind, I absolutely should have roasted TC about that instead. I agree with the EQD point, but I don’t necessarily think that’s a bad thing. The main thing that bothers me about vertex is how seemingly a lot of people just moved on from the whole thing. Props to Mason for at least admitting and openly talking about it these days, but he tried to hide it for a while. However, people change and grow, and his pedals are not aimed at me, so it’s not like I’m burning a bridge, cos I would never buy or accept any pedals from them cos they simply don’t Interest me. The JHS thing is a bit more grey in my eyes. I get people not liking Josh, or thinking their pedals are boring, everyone is entitled to an opinion. As far as their past controversies go, I have looked into more than I would like to admit, and I know where I stand with them, and I would encourage people to make up their own minds and vote with their time/wallet. I will never criticise anyone for not supporting a company/product they don’t want to, even if it is often a bit hypocritical, and the same goes for people who are willing to overlook certain aspects because they just want/need a thing that company makes (in most case anyway). Freedom of choice is important, basically. I don’t know if that made much sense, but thanks for watching and commenting haha.
