@@CartersRemasters Seems like you are the "negative asshole." The Beatles were inspired by rock, swing, country and Western, blues, big band, show tunes, and many other sounds. The point is (aside from the one under your hat!) is that this is a Beatles song video. If I'm watching a film of Tom Brady throwing touchdown passes, I'm not telling people that Sammy Baugh started it all. Reflect upon yourself and carry on differently in the future. There endeth the lesson.

@@Halli50 - Damn, I just went back and watched this video again. And I'm super-impressed with John's playing - he was quite the string-bender here! Among all of John's many talents and traits, his guitar-playing ability is sometimes overlooked, perhaps overshadowed by his larger-than-life personality. Nevertheless, we can imagine how much fun he and George had playing this one together, as you say - at their pinnacle, back when they were still a really tight band. John Lennon was a great rhythm guitarist. He wasn't a very flashy guitar player, but he had an instinctive feel for the beat. His parts were usually in the background but they kept the rock &roll momentum of the song moving forward. This is a great example of a rate Lennon solo in a song that's not as popular as most Beatles' songs but a solid one nonetheless.
