We have a swamp cooler and I've noticed that over the last 10 or 15 years, we're getting a LOT more mineral buildup on the evap cooler roll pad. Water still tastes great, but it's getting harder. Are you mixing in well water?

That's interesting. We have not used well water in our water supply for years.
