    You might be able to get away without the wing in the smaller size 18 and smaller . Great tie Just a suggestion maybe if you went with a darker barred ginger it would really look like grizzly and brown mixed. Great job.

    I'm not sure it is a classic Adams, both tail and hackle on a traditional would be a combination of grizzly and a ginger feather. but it is a really nice fly.

      i think the argument would be that he used a barred dark ginger hackle feather instead of brown+grizzly. It's kind of a combination of these colors anyways. i know that Cree hackle is used in this manner for the adams dry fly

    Why not trim out the ends before you place them on the hook
