I'm intrigued by the Finisher too. I don't have FFS either, but i still think i can catch some with this. Beaver is my home lake, so we have a lot of bluffs that i think this would work great on.
I think it would change the action too much, but the only way to know for sure is to give it a go. I’d find a clear body of water and see how the bait moves with and without the blade.
Let me break your heart right here right now. Sorry to disappoint you. No hard feeling. It's not new. It's a lipless crankbait minnow shaped such as a Rapala Slab Rap. Sad to inform you but Berkley knocked it off from a Chinese lipless, same exact shape, same flat belly found on AliExpress. I was disappointed when I bought it from Cabela's and brought it home. It looked exactly as my Chinese lure 😂. It was an instant return for me. Berkley engineers have no shame . It's just a Yo-Yo lure, it's all about advertising. Tank test it and Rapala is better while Berkley is on par with the Chinese lure because it's knocked a Chinese lure. It's called reverse knocking off 😂.
You keep saying that Berkley came out with throughout the video. The Berkley Finisher is nothing more than a hard plastic version of what Duo came out with called the BR Fish and BR Head. Check it out, also you were about to get into the Berkley Krej, but yet again Jackall came out with that years ago and let’s not forget the Berkley Nessie, yet again that was ripped off from Grow Design Works Flag 170. I know everyone wants to give Berkley credit for doing some forward thinking in their lure designs, but we have to give credit to the actual designers. All the innovative designs and lures always come from Japan. Do your homework
Looks like the back treble is what’s “wagging”. Maybe a feathered treble hook on the back as long as is doesn’t impede the action. Worth a try!
Great idea!

Thoughts on adding a VMC treble with the blade? would that change the action?

I kinda want to fish it with a baitcaster
I don't see why you couldn't.
Imagine showing the Chinese lure to the engineer's boss 😅.
There is a Chinese lure same exact shape 😂.
