Election Day was a train chasing day. Trains are cooler than politics anyway. I'm going to post another Vermont Railway video soon. It's a simpler video, just a Sunday edition of GMRC 264 with light power, so look out for that soon. Also, a CSX freights video should be out within the next few weeks, I need to get out and catch more of them.
Enjoy!

Awesome video, I'm from Quebec but I try to Come to Vermont every summer. Love catching those trains. Keep the good work
great catches and video of this Vermont freight and these other wishers
I sure the Vermont Railway is getting lots and lots of new freight business and getting trucks off the road!!!
Very nice! Nice areas to capture your videos. Nice to see clean engines, not the grubby ones that run the old Fitchburg line in Mass.
It definitely helps that the VTR is repainting their Geeps. both the leader and the trailing engine are fresh paint, 1 month or less.
That's nice to know that VTR is painting their engines. It seems like the big roads let theirs rust badly. Thank you.
Trust me, as a former employee, these get dirty real quick with oil and dirt. Lol
That Air noise that you here from that Geep GP-38-2
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Great Video. Five Stars * * * * *
What was that Air noise coming from that GP 38 is that normal does not sound normal?
If you're referring to the "clicking" sound. Yes, all GP38s and GP40s do that, its a very normal sound and mechanic.
@zephyrstrains2842 I always wondered that for years Thank You and I railfan any chance I get. But with working and then trying to get back into my kids' lives , it's hard to Rail Fan , especially when life gets in the way. I am taking time off, and I am going to sleep for a month and do a bunch of RailFaning. I know where to find a lot of older Locomotives units Dash 8 C 40 6 Axel Unit's GP40 units GP38 GP40 wideCab Units, B 40 GP9 1 left I believe back in 2018. Do you have any knowledge on why certain railroads have to scrap their locomotives by law? I just don't understand that I know it has to do with emissions And if they replace the locomotives Engines and ETC Then the locomotive can stay on the rails and still perform duties. I just don't understand fully any Information on this subject by chance.?
@@GMCGUY- When it comes to scrapping, railroads dictate that if a unit is too old, or has issues that aren't fixable.
@zephyrstrains2842 Oh I understand that. I'm talking about some other company that forces them to grab it. The only way they don't have to scrap it is if they put a new engine in the locomotive thats what I heard the railroad has no say in it
@@GMCGUY- probably some kind of policy I'm unfamiliar with.
How many trains go through Vermont?
well there's the 4-6 daily NECR freights, the 5 days a week vermont rail system stuff, Amtrak, and pan am at night. There's plenty of stuff to check out!
206 wears a K5LLA?, very odd
Yeah, not sure when they replaced it. Not complaining though!
@@zephyrstrains2842 2020 it was replaced. Just wish it was moved to the long hood like it's sister 207
