I'm a homeschooling Mom your recipes have made my life so much easier. I just want to say you are an absolute blessing Thank you so very much from my family to yours. God Bless ❤
Cassandra, I'm 77 and you convinced me I should start canning. I'm scared to death but I've already been fermenting vegetables and baking bread for years, why not canning. I've invested in a steam canner and a Nesco/Carey pressure canner. I feel I already know you because I lived in DC for 20 years and used to have friends in Frederick farm country, though I'm sure it's changed a lot since I left in 1988. For a young woman, you've had your share of sorrows. No one leaves the earth unscathed. You will survive; we all do somehow, even when we are sure are hearts will break into a million pieces. Children will come soon. I feel it in my bones. Maybe not in the way you imagine, but loving and with joy nonetheless. I wish you all the best. If I had a daughter, I'd like to think she's be something like you. You've done your parents proud.
You are an example of a person who uses your “spare time” to learn and grow in positive ways, instead of floating through life caring about the nonsense and fluff that many people waste their precious time on!! You have certainly inspired me and I will definitely share your channel with both my 20 something daughters and with my teen sons!!! Keep learning and growing…. And sharing 💕💕
I LOVE your videos!! You have a very old sole and I love that about you. You talk like my grandmother did, you make me feel like she is here talking me through these recipes yet you are young, attractive and vibrant. Thank you for taking the time to make and then edit these videos for us. You are a Blessing and I look forward to your videos.
I simply love your videos!! I always learn so much, to save money and eat healthier. I do have one tip. When using tumeric, add a pinch of black pepper. Black pepper helps your body absorb the tumeric. Please continue to educate all of us!!!❤❤
Girl these recipes are just what my husband and I need! Thank you for all you share on your videos! Hugs to you and your husband and family! You are a blessing!!
Absolutely loved all of these breakfast recipes. These are perfect quick and nutritious meals. I have two of my young grandchildren who are going to ❤ breakfast.
I love all the nutrition info that you talk about with each ingredient. I’m excited to try to freezer oatmeal with my kids. Not sure if they will eat dates, I never even had one but am excited to try it.
You have given me such hope❤. I have a tiny balcony and it’s been tough the last few years with gardening. I have just invested in a GreenStalk and am very excited to get rolling with this per your experience. I also live in a townhome that is very limited in space. You have inspired me to add shelving beneath my stairs in the finished basement to store all of my preservation items. I am a newer canner and just bought the cosori dehydrator you own. Just really excited and motivated. I have been struggling with anxiety that has lead to depression for a few yrs and feel as if I am coming out of it. Gardening, cooking and preserving my own food and eating this way is so fulfilling to my soul. Thx for breaking down all that you have learned and inspiring me. Very grateful.
Sweetheart, this message touched me and I am praying for you! Keep becoming a farm girl and chasing after your homestead dream! I’ll be right along side you. I was once frustrated with my limited space and thought that I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my home life until I had land, but let me tell you, having a min homestead with “sample sizes” of all of the elements I will have on my farm and helping others with their homesteads has given me joy and peace and now I’m grateful I get to learn and “test drive” things before I make the big leap. Stay encouraged! You can do this too girl! Keep me posted, Beth!
You always give me so many delicious ideas to cook for my family Cassandra, thank you. I'm starting to cook more from scratch and am learning so much from you.
Love, love, love your videos. I live in Toronto, Canada and watch you all the time. I take your advice and run with it, but I do have one little tidbit for you if you don’t mind. When using turmeric you should always add just a pinch of black pepper, it has a compound called piperine. It will help the body absorb the benefits of turmeric. ❤😊
Girl, I have not watched you in a while and you are so on point and so are your recipes! I'm all about cook at home and make it ahead of time and put it in the freezer. And these breakfast recipes you did today are amazing. Thank you
So I made 18 breakfast sandwiches this morning to freeze for about $14 and they're way better than anything in the freezer aisle or at fast food. Thank you so much for the inspiration
As a retired single, I no longer have to prep for busy mornings, but I may do it for convenience. I make pancake and cornbread mixes and store in mason jars in a kitchen cabinet. Since the mixes contain powdered milk, i just have to add a cup of water and an egg. I'll make some bacon and pancakes enough for 2 meals and store one in a container in the fridge. The next day, I have a heat and eat breakfast.
All of these look absolutely delicious! As is everything you make! These recipes are exactly what I need for busy workdays! Definitely going to clean out my freezer and get some delicious breakfasts in there!
Thank you for these awesome recipes dear! Your personality while presenting your videos reminds me of a broadway or shakespeare play. Very theatrical. I wonder if you've ever been apart of that space.
I recently discovered your channel by recommendation from my mother . I have always wanted to be a homesteader and this channel has motivated me to dream of my future. I’m a busy college student , so I’m going to save this video for breakfast ideas in the future!
So good to see you today! The breakfast ideas are fabulous and I’ll be making them for sure. I have resisted the silicone muffin pans because I have some that are still very useable but dang the ease of using them is awesome. As always, a fun and very inspiring video. Have a great week!
Hi Cassandra, I learn so much from you, a d was hoping I could teach you something today. Challah is pronounced "Holla". I have a Jewish friend that introduced me to it.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and I too am an urban homesteader!!! I have tried many of your recipes (especially Fire Cider, it does have a kick, it does work and it's the best thing ever), shopping ideas, food preservation tips and organization ideas. Also, I just purchased a Greenstalk. I have had a prolific garden for several years, but the location does not look good for my neighborhood, so I am going to deck garden and buy new container seeds. Also, Would you please reattach the link to the Canning Journal? It looks amazing but the link is not working at this time and I would like to be able to catalogue the things that I have canned. Thanks so much and keep producing and sharing ideas😍 P.S. My Son-in-Law is a retired Sr. Chief in the Navy ⚓
This is now my favorite freezer meal video. This is going to change my mornings and more importantly my ability to have more cash to budget into the bigger things. Thank you Cassandra!
@@BecomingaFarmGirl I’m in the kitchen now making the sausage pancake muffins. I’ve got all 7 grands coming for Christmas, so I am trying to get ahead of the baking. Thanks for a great idea.
Yay! I don't try to "sell' anything, but I think those sleeves come in handy as a safe way to transfer your jars and use them to heat items up in. I've had my original pack of 6 for a few years and I love them. They clean off easily and don't take up too much space to store. Thank you for the kind words, my friend!
Finally got to making my freezer oatmeal today. I made mine banana and chocolate chip. Also IKEA has tht silicone cup cake tray, tht is where I got mine, same color and size. Thanks for the tips!
The only recipes that I would be able to try here, are the smoothie, and granola bars. Thanks so much for those beautiful yummy looking ideas. My daughter eats cooked oatmeal, and eggs, which I wouldn't even eat as a child. I'll pass your recipe on to her.❤
Thank you! You must have known I was getting bored with my one and only frozen breakfast idea. So many great ideas between your 2 videos. Some of them even inspired some variations on your ideas. I can’t wait to try them all !!
This comment actually relates to an older video that talked about fermenting celery and recommended a book called "Fermented Vegetables". When I found your video I was wondering what on earth to do with all the celery left in my garden. I borrowed "Fermented Vegetables" from my local library (try before you buy!) and fermented four quarts of celery. I plan on fermenting more vegetables next year. I will probably buy the book too. Thank you so much!
I absolutely love your videos, thank you for sharing. I just learned almonds are toxic ( breaks down to cyanide within the human body) 😢 and wanted to share because you care so much for your family and others you are sharing your life with…US on you tube.
I need a bigger freezer. Apartment ones are so tiny. 😞 I do have a mini one but it’s a pain to deal with since it’s in the corner behind a chair. Great video though,I’ll be coming back to it.
Ooh, these look so good! I know you say you don’t measure, but if you ever decide to put out a cookbook for winging it with some of your variations, and especially your multiple ways to use a home canned jar of stuff, I’d definitely be in line to buy it! Also, that freezer oatmeal sounds like a game changer, because I love hot oatmeal but absolutely hate overnight oats. And cooking just one serving every morning is soooo tedious.
I'm a homeschooling Mom your recipes have made my life so much easier. I just want to say you are an absolute blessing Thank you so very much from my family to yours. God Bless ❤

Okay Cassandra! You really took the cake with this video. These all look phenomenal and I am going to implement as many as possible! ❤
These look amazing, I was drooling when you placed that pancake muffin on the counter. You’ve outdone yourself again!!
Thanks, Cassandra, for these make-ahead meals. I love how making these sandwiches ahead would also reduce food waste.

I love what I just saw, Cassandra. Your a phenomenal cook 🍳. I can't wait to start cooking again.
Great recipes and much healthier options than the garbage they add to the processed food in the grocery store.
Breakfast is the one thing I tend to spend the most money on during the work week so I needed some inspiration to make my own.
Love the omelet in a jar! We’ll all of them but that one is genius!
your reciepes are so different than the mainstream I love them. Thanks for being unique and helpful tips
You should have a show! Not only are you knowledgeable, but you’re fun to watch!
I don’t know why but I was under the impression that you can’t microwave canning jars. Learning something new. Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely love the concept of your channel, and everything about the wY you share. Voice, personality, and detaiked information.
Blue is YOUR COLOR! You look stunning!!

First, I can totally tell educating is your strength! ❤ Secondly, thank you to your husband for his service! God bless, and Happy Thanksgiving!
YUM YUM YUM
I don’t generally eat breakfast. If I do it’s a weekend treat. You make me want to make a few of these breakfast goodies.🤤🤣 Thanks for sharing.😊🫶🏽
This is like my new favorite video ever.
Note: I say this to myself after every video of yours that I watch. 😍😍😍

Good seeing you Cassandra. Love all these recipes. Will be making for my freezer. Thanks.
What some great ideals. I take something to work to eat but this sounds great and sure beats oatmeal all the time.
Thank you for the content, absolutely the right way to encourage everyone to take the farmfamily way of taking positive control of your diet/health.
I am so glad I subscribed to your channel. Your food prep tips are incredible.
