  • Hi there!
    Welcome (back) to my channel and thank you for dropping by :)
    Here is the very first one of my planned basic beading technique videos! As I wanrt to upload more advanced tutorials for my own designs I think it's best to give you some basic information about common techniques. Ofc it's not necessary to watch them but maybe helpful for the best outcome! :)
    All of the shown earrings are currently available in my shop (at the time point of uploading this video)
    Feel free to ask questions or leave feedback! Like, comment, subscribe if you feel like it!

    Enjoyed your instructions as well as you helpful tips. Yes, I would like to see a tutorial on Fringe. Your work is beautiful!! Thank you for taking the time to give us these tips and hope to see more of your tutorials. Oh, I like the tight bridge better than the loose. That has been one of my problems when making this type of earring.

    • @bafflingbeadsat
      @bafflingbeadsat  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes! I always start with tight stitches! Otherwise some beads just stay wobbly - so annying! So glad I could help! By now there are two fringe earring tutorials available on my channel. I may make another one for the fringe earrings which have those metal cube beads along the finding. Don't know whether people would be interested in those 🤷‍♀️ it's always hard to decide which tutorial to make next 🙂 please enjoy and thank you for the kind comment!

    I would love to see a tutorial on adding the fringe, especially how to get it to hang nicely- do you prefer Delica or Miyiku 11/0

    • @bafflingbeadsat
      @bafflingbeadsat  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Awesome! I will make 2 tutorials 🙂 one for fringe earrings with findings and one for fully beaded earrings. They are going to be the next tutorials I post.
      I personally prefer Delica overall, they are my standard bead type I work with. They have larger holes which is handy for fringes as the thread will have more space in there and I find those fringes to be more flexible. Miyuki rounds have smaller holes but also more weight. I find it easier to get a straight fringe with those. In the end it's just about preference - which shape and colors you like better. They both have disadvantages and advantages for fringe earrings. Fringe earrings mainly need practice to get them right 🙂

    Hello....you obviously put a lot of work into this video, and thank you! I would love it if you told me what size miyuki demi beds you used for the last delicate design of black and gold on the edge of the metal hoop please. Were the gold beads size 11 demi beads or size 8 demi beads?

    • @bafflingbeadsat
      @bafflingbeadsat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Those golden beads I used to bead on that finding are 11/0 Miyuki spacer beads. You can also use 11/0 Toho demi rounds but they are a little slimmer. I usually prefer the Toho demi rounds but I can't always get the colors I need so I also have a few Miyuki ones 🙂 Thank you for wathcing and commenting ❤️

    Hello and thank you for all these great techniques! Quick question: where would you attach your earring hook for the cube beads with Demi round design please? 😊

    • @bafflingbeadsat
      @bafflingbeadsat  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would make a bead bridge with 15/0s or I would place a tiny jump ring in one of the demi rounds. I show the 1st option in the Simin earring tutorial. My next video will show a new earring design where I put jump rings into 15/0s so that I can add chains. But I would only do this with lightweight earrings. Both options are possible 🙂 depends on your preference.

      I also try out new patterns and designs in Inkscape sometimes before I try to physically create them. I do rough sketches on paper. That's all 🙂

    • @bafflingbeadsat
      @bafflingbeadsat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a tension problem. On the 2nd Friday in May I will upload the tutorial for similar fringe earrings. My small Luano ones. Maybe that video will help you. But to me it sounds that if your bead tilts to one side that you pull too much in one direction. And also check whether both threads are on opposite sides of the bead. If they are both directly at the back it will pull the bead to the back. Rather place them on the right and left-hand side a little to the back and then it should even out :) and then they are a little hidden away, too.
