Best demo for this pedal I’ve seen so far. Thank you for being thorough and actually turning the mix knob all the way up to see the limits of where things can go.
Yeah MJ is the kind of player I am: using guitar (and other instruments) in a very ‘sonic’ way. I’m glad for his channel, cus most other demos are like, ‘ok here’s the reverb,’ then they play blues licks at 50% wet dry.
Walrus really does know how to make a good reverb. In fact I think Walrus might be the one pedal manufacturer out there that dips their toes into basically every effect imaginable and manages to do all of them exceptionally well. Their reverbs were definitely my gateway into higher end effects, though. Great demo as always, Mark!
I think this is one do the best sounding ambient reverbs, regardless of price! On classical nylon guitar, it is a winner for ambient sounds. It is so much easier to dial in than the SLO.
just bought one and just now a 2nd one, to have fun exploring reamping stereo, and just got a sloer too, but figured i could maybe mismatch the verbs and mess around with that.
I returned the Sloer instantly. Not this one, it’s perfect. As long as you don’t need stereo, this one is amazing and the UI is nice. Looks and feels premium in person, which is a surprise given how cheap it is.
I think it actually can get more ambient with less work. Slo/tva obviously can be dialed further in but this is just straight up set and forget great ambience
FWIW, these are digitally controlled pots (sliders). For dust to actually cause them to not work, they'd have to sit untouched for years with lots of caked on dust. And even if they failed then, we'd still replace them for you if needed.
Was interested in hearing it with a synth. Too bad the chroma is in there making it kinda useless as a demo for that purpose. Unless the chroma comes with it as a free gift.
NOooo! MONO! cmon guys. a mono dsp Pedal wich collapses my expensive stereo chain to mono at the end of the board in 2024? not buyin. thats not cost cutting. its product crippling. same for time based effects with no midi. sad. haze sounds amazing. and no, i wont buy two. cheers nice vid!
@@stevenbatke2475 i do this for handbuilt analog pedals: i’ve got two jam harmonious monks and two delay llamas (one xtrm) running in stereo. its SO worth it. not for lazy ass developers mono dsp pedals. sry. try harder.
@@dasczwo and it would cost nearly double the price, to make a stereo version. These are supposed to be affordable. I think they sound great, even in mono. Stereo is cool, but it isn’t the end-all-be-all. You never know, if they are popular, and it gets requested enough, they may make a stereo version. For now, I’m happy with it, the way it is.

Awesome demo and very nice playing too, thank you Mark.
Love the Circa Survive plug!!
My man!❤

what a lovely little thing

When Mama gets home there better be a fine ambient wash going.

Should do a vid on that guitar, seems like that’s the one
I adore this guitar. It’s so good
@@markjohnstonofficialwhat brand/model is it?
HE DID!! It’s a great vid. It’s on his channel. I love mark more and more every day.
Sounds great... Compared to the Slo/Slötva algorithms?

Mark, tell me that`s not Trey Gunn`s chord at the start. From his most emotive solo on Warr guitar, `Deception of the Thrush`-King Crimson live!.
Very well could be. I don’t know who that is
do you like it better than like a slotva or its just different?
Sounds amazing! Wish it had MIDI.
Matthews makes a similar sized and priced reverb with MIDI in if that's what you are in the market for.
I wish it had an expression pedal input for that mix fader
I like this line of their pedals. Buuut, those sliders are dust and dirt valleys. I guess knobs get boring though. Good demo!

Hey mark, will you be doing review on Cornerstone Nero fuzz? Its sounded so goooooood....and I love watching ur vdos...looking forward to it❤❤

What a weird reaction
So, buy two. You’ll have stereo and spent more money, and that’ll make you happy ;)
