"I wanted a shimmer. But I hate shimmer. So we wanted to make a cool shimmer." Lol! I love you. Genuinely. Sorry to go all sloppy, but Chase Bliss is bringing so much joy into people's lives. I mean, not all of us can afford your pedals, but even watching the demos and maybe saving up for one or two of your designs (I have the Gravitas), it's so cool.
If you’re this passionate about your own pedal, I’m sold. Obviously it’s a high quality product, but it really reflects well on your brand when you’re genuinely so excited to use this pedal yourself. Clearly you enjoyed building this. Cheers!
So I'm borrowing this pedal from my buddy after falling in love with the mood. Plugged this in for 5 minutes before my kid got home. Immediately found multiple amazing settings. I can not wait to fully explore this thing. You guys do amazing work.
Man, the first pedal for a very long time that keeps me playing and playing and just let me forget the time. It inspires me in such great way. Clean hairy channel, Dark World=Total Bliss. Thank you for that!
Frankly, I could listen to you all day, Joel! Please come back soon! I was just about all in on Empress Reverb, but NOW I'm thinking Dark World is TOO slick!
Joel, thank you man. You totally get it. I already LOVED Chase Bliss and two of my favorite pedals are my Outward and my Generation Loss. When I heard you worked with Cooper FX on this, I was so gassed. Again, you just get it man. Your pedals make me so happy, man. SO much joy. I regularly giggle at how good they sound and how awesome the midi capability is. Not joking. GIGGLE bro. I'm a grown ass man, known to talk shit and then back it up and your pedals make my giggle.
Joel, you and your team are legends. I’d be happy to listen to your story about how did you start playing, first trials and errors with pedals, etc. And the stories behind each pedal are also super cool.
there are a lot of reverb pedals out there, but there is nothing like this. it does so much. i keep watching every demo i find and am saving up to buy it. one day i hope to own the warped vinyl, but this one is first.
I have never clicked on a notification faster, because I was actually trying to click on a text notification, but this one popped up right as I did, so it was really an accident that I clicked on it, sorry Joel I promise I'll do better next time
"I wanted a shimmer, but I hate shimmer, so we wanted to make a cool shimmer." Amen brother. I always think I want shimmer, then I realize all over again that I hate it.
Loved the video and the energy. Started messing with my new DW and it can get kinda confusing at first (in a also very nice kind of way) but now I know what to expect from the different Dark modes!
Ordered 3mos ago, but because of pandemic it just arrived yesterday. I don't care, I love it. I own 3 CB pedals, this may become my favorite. Also, I really want to sit down and get high with Joel. What a great person. I don't even get high. I don't care. Let's do this.
Nicely done, Joel. It's funny, you know. I watch a lot of demo videos for pedals that offer some sort of clipping or predictable modulation, and many of those encourage wanking and showing off. Not in a pathological way, but they do tend to encourage the viewer and would-be buyer to imagine themselves standing in the spotlight on a big stage. Effects like the Dark World, however, encourage a different approach. One becomes more the spectator, rather than the star, even IF you're the one inserting the sounds to be manipulated. You want to just sit back and see what happens. You don't want to be in the driver's seat, keeping your eye on the traffic. You want to be in the passenger seat, observing the landscape and enjoying the ride. Stepping back from the particulars of the pedal, it's probably best to think of it as the reverb equivalent of the Brothers; stackable reverbs, whose order can be flipped or run in parallel.
I also hate shimmer and was turned off immediately by Andy's demo as it's the first sound. BUT the SNES Zelda inspiration from the mini-doc has damn near sold me...
Jimmy Needs Coffee yep! Just set stomp switch to momentary (selectable via dip switch) and put the sensitivity (decay knob in black mode) relatively low
Aw maaan, I've seen so many cool pedals the past few days and they're just too far out of my price range. 😭 Eh, it's all good. Fun to watch, either way! 😊
Tom *is* a sweet little angel
The guardian angel of not-too-long videos.
Knobs So are you, you faceless magician of melody!
We love you Tom!!!! 💗💗💗

Daniel West I cant afford one but I’m definitely going to buy one anyway
You are the Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross of guitar pedals, and I love you.
Ryan Cunningham came here to post this
Ryan Cunningham , couldn't agree more.
Love every single pedal you make. You bring joy to this dark world.
Oh wow, unintentional pun.
Joel your stutter sounds a lot better here! I hope that means you're more comfortable being in front of a camera. love you.
“Infinite reverb sort of a dealie” is what really sold me on this pedal.

Thank you so much!!
No joke, I can't tell you how often I think "I want a shimmer, but I hate shimmer, so I want a cool shimmer"

I loved this video! Joel's devotion is clear and his enthusiasm is infectious! I want one of these pedals!!
I know you’re supposed to buy a pedal based on the ‘Pedal’ itself, but i feel I need this pedal even more now because he seems so genuine.
You're getting a lot more comfortable in front of the camera. It's rad. The pedal is pretty sweet, too.
Frankly, I could listen to you all day, Joel! Please come back soon! I was just about all in on Empress Reverb, but NOW I'm thinking Dark World is TOO slick!
I love the lessons. I'm glad you brought them back.

I love the musical taste of Chase Bliss Audio, it's a way of thinking sound. Thanks for creating such little gems.

I love you. I wish you were my dad.
Hard agree
you'd have amazing toys.
The laughter this comment brought left me without breath lmao
Respect, man! This video is so real. I love it. And what a fantastic pedal, whoa...
Joel makes the world a better place.
Slam dunk!!! This is amazing man
Like your Pelitaur! SERIOUSLY INCREDIBLE fuzz. Cannot wait to run it into the Dark World!!!
Awesome sounding pedal! I have to say, the Analog Heart series has made me such a fan of the Chase Bliss/Joel sense of humor!
You had me at “it’s a hoot!” 🤘❤️🤘
Joel makes my heart happy.
Love your creations, and light hearted videos. Thanks Brother
definitely a welcome back when you've been watching everything leading up to it :)
❤This guy is great! Love the breakdown of this pedal!
Joel, love your videos and your pedals, you're my hero! keep doing what you do.

I have never clicked on a notification faster, because I was actually trying to click on a text notification, but this one popped up right as I did, so it was really an accident that I clicked on it, sorry Joel I promise I'll do better next time

I like these videos where Joel talks to us
Just ordered this pedal. It's my first Chase Bliss Audio pedal :D
Loved the video and the energy. Started messing with my new DW and it can get kinda confusing at first (in a also very nice kind of way) but now I know what to expect from the different Dark modes!
Fantastic demo and pedal
That guitar is incredible. Great tones too!

Awesome stuff. Got mine today. You make great pedals!!!
Definitely not to long! I could watch these all day

It is amazing 😉 Are you guys still making this pedal.? I haven’t be able to find any
Great pedal and a great dude. Joel seems like such a solid guy. Would love to talk pedals with him!
Great demo! 👍🔥🔥🔥
Thank you

I love this man
It does the things! Love it
I also hate shimmer and was turned off immediately by Andy's demo as it's the first sound. BUT the SNES Zelda inspiration from the mini-doc has damn near sold me...

This kid is a friggin' genius!
Great Success Joel!!
Can't wait to pick up one of these babies
Great job as always!
Wonderful! But one question, can it do something like Freeze? Like Electron Harmonix Freeze pedal. Cheers
Jimmy Needs Coffee yep! Just set stomp switch to momentary (selectable via dip switch) and put the sensitivity (decay knob in black mode) relatively low
oh my gosh this pedal sounds amazing... that generation loss sounds RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!
Wow! This thing sounds insane. Is there ANY way to run this stereo? :P
i have kidney stage three . . i sound similar to you . . if you could put us in series or parrallel that would make a great backing . . or lead track!
just got this pedal, it is a hoot and a half
But the dry-signal stays analog?
Also, are the filters analog?
do you have distributors in switzerland? shipping from the us is 60$ ...
snoopyoverthehills I think you would be able to get one from gear4music.com. I’ve just done so (I live in Denmark).
@@mortenfgreve thanks for the hint i checked it. delivery in january :D haha
snoopyoverthehills Bummer! They had five in stock when I ordered a couple of days ago...
Morten Greve thanks anyway
I'm glad Joel voted.
Eat this week, or get lost in some immense reverb... hmmmm
Yesssss
Aw maaan, I've seen so many cool pedals the past few days and they're just too far out of my price range. 😭 Eh, it's all good. Fun to watch, either way! 😊
Sounds great Joel! Wondering why you couldn’t make it stereo?
🤘👍🏿
nice 👍
Thats why Tom hasnt been soldering new Outwards. Ok.
Wet my pants on the Darkside
analog reverb !?
nope
Viktor Eriksen that would be a spring or plate reverb
Take all of my money, I love you
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
I would die for you
This video is way to short .
:-)
if you sell some coccaine or heroine having one of these is definitely attainable! . . otherwise, no
Your pedals sound like ridiculous nonsense. But I still want them. I don't get it.
Only thing innovative about his pedal is The freeze/hold volume insensitivity triggering👈
Mono reverb? Oh.. come on...
Most people play in mono lol
@@LunaticTheCat Oh yeah! you're funny too)
Please stop taaaalking and just play!
