Hey Luke, keep your chin up. The message you shared about not finding your identity in a score but in Christ is way more impactful than any number on a scorecard. I’m proud of the work you are doing. It takes guts to be this real.
@@MichaelWoods-fc8methat’s not Bible banging. That’s facts and hopefully thru Luke’s videos you’ll see what he’s really doing is sharing the Gospel. Keep going Luke, love your content.
BRO. 5:55!!!! THIS WAS ME after my first qualifier of the year. Also shot 81. LITERALLY said the same things to myself. This is why you are one of my favorite people to follow. Relatable af. We both can go lowish but also are capable of the frustrating 77--->80. GAINS ONLY for the rest of the year for the both of us ❤
Man this hits home for me so bad. Yesterday I shot and filmed 18 hole Vlog where I had a seven on a par 3 and a double bogey after that if I would’ve Par those, I would’ve shot +1. 🤦🏻♂️ Stay on that grind bud.
Your upside as a player is better now, but a few years ago you were coming off college golf. You're simply not playing as much as you used to, but your golf IQ is improving. You just need to be patient and keep grinding. Golf is a lifelong journey.
Hope you enjoyed your time in TVille Glen Arven is such a pure course key is staying in the fairway (rough is tough) and missing in the right spots. Congrats on making the tournament, best of luck on your future tourneys!
Might be a hot take but I think genuinely what happens when you get good is you strive to keep getting better by changing things bc they “could” be better. This in turn starts to go against a lot of natural feels golfers have with trying to have a “perfect swing”. Just my thoughts
This reminds me of my trials and tribulations when I tried to compete (before kids and age got to me). Hang in there and keep grinding. BTW the video was very well produced and showed a lot of different aspects of the process. Enjoyed!
You said you didn't know long of the hole was "like that" on the 3 chip hole. Google Earth won't always show how disastrous a spot can be. If playing to win I think you need to know the course. Example.....if I look at the Old Course at St. Andrews on Google Earth it doesn't look very difficult.
Love the videos brother. I’ve been playing Vice for the last 4-5 seasons. The stress by FAR my favorite ball. Go you have a promo code, I’m in the market for more Vice… hoping the Voyage ones come back 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Wes Bryan just posted a vid of his friend qualifying for the US Open. This guy was not long, was not perfect but he... 1. Got out of junk and back into play every time 2. Did not miss 7' putts and shorter 3. Played to center of the green
It’s not quitting it is realizing that $180 for a hotel room isn’t cheap and it doesn’t make sense to pay that for half a round that would only be for practice.
@@vcoffman7014 The tournament rounds are covered in the tournament fee. As for the hotel room cost…would he have paid if he was closer to making the cut? Absolutely. When you play tournament golf, you either finish what you start or don’t start. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan, not a hater. Just disappointed that he WD instead of playing through it. You never know, he may have found something had he finished.
People WD from tournaments all of the time, and in some cases it's to save time and money. Perfectly sensible given HIS circumstances (which aren't YOUR circumstances).
@@upanddownfor5961 This is moronic. Pro golfers WD all of the time. I'm willing to bet close to 100% of them would've WD'd in this situation. Just wasting time and money that could be spent getting ready for the next one.
Love you, but you are a 5 to 9 over player on average based on every video I have watched…every now and then you go under par but it is not your norm..

Luke I love how authentic you are. Good, bad, ugly, you tell it how it is. Bottom line GOLF IS HARD!!

Very true! Definitely need to start playing alot more golf tournaments!

Let's freaking go kid🏌️🙏
Keep banging! I miss your course vlogs and your local gang domes and tourneys.
Golf is hard. Tournament golf is really hard.
It is very hard! But I love it haha. What a game
Huy, man, at least the potatoes were good. Thank you for sharing the good and the bad.
don't worry,, you're in good company (Tig) ;-) All it needs is to get up one more time than you stumble!
I’m impressed you filmed this whole thing by yourself. That amount of effort probably cost you a few shots
Hang in there! You’re an awesome golfer! I can only wish I was as good as you.

Luke are you going through a swing change right now? Your swing looked a lot steeper than normal.
It was for sure a little steep during this tourney!

5 dozen for the whole year?, I’d agreee if I played one round all year
Your game doesn't reflect the man you are, keep it up.
It's adrenaline LP, there's no secret other than deep breaths and take as much time as you can before hitting the next shot.
A Sandbagger quit? A Sandbagger NEVER quits!!! WTH???????
Would you fund another night’s stay for him so he could play a pointless 10 holes of golf?
It was the right decision.
Can’t co-sign the WD. Not playing a practice round is one thing, but WD’ing because you “aren’t in it” is another thing.
It’s not quitting it is realizing that $180 for a hotel room isn’t cheap and it doesn’t make sense to pay that for half a round that would only be for practice.
Exactly. There are tournament golfers and golfers who play tournaments. Big difference in the two, and quitters only fit in the latter.
