My cousin went to Hanlim Arts School. It is considered one of the two best arts schools in Korea. It's probably the tops in regards to producing most artist stars in the Korean entertaining business. Because of it's locality of being close to the heart of Seoul, it produces many top artist in Theater, Acting, Music, singers, Dancers and etc. in the entertainment industry. It admits approximately 40 students per year per department. Rami was chosen as the top student for admission for her year. There's a rumor that Ahyeon of the Babymonster was chosen as the second (to Rami) for the same class. It's definitely an honor. Many star entertainers are rejected as well. For example, a member from one of the current leading Kpop girl group, Le Sserrafim was rejected for admission. She later reapplied, but was rejected again. You can't be admitted just because you're a star, you have to have top talent. It's not an easy school to be admitted to. It's amazing that Babymonster has not only two members who were admitted, but as the top and second best student to be admitted to the class. It's similar to valedictorian and salutatorian in U.S. except that it's for incoming students based on admission evaluations.
Rami and Ahyeon both show an enormous aptitude for learning and are like sponges, absorbing information both for their profession and in general. I remember the other members, when asked who learns the choreo the quickest, agreeing that it is Rami. Ahyeon learns English at age 5 and Mandarin at age 7 (or 9), and Rami learns foreign languages quickly as well. It isn't hard to believe they are #1 and #2 in their class during admissions. I believe one of their best qualities is how down-to-earth and humble they are. In fact, all the members seem to be very grateful and humble with what they have achieved. It is refreshing to me to see how well they are growing in every aspect of their endeavor.

@@嬉嬉 Actually, the ranking is for the department, not the class. Both Ahyeon and Rami are in the Applied Music Department. At this point, you are correct to say that "there is no proof". (There is proof one way or another at the school, but the general public probably can't go to the school and freely look at their records.) As far as fans are concerned at this point It is a rumor...possibly the same way that it was a "rumor" about Rami until Rami confirmed it on this show. I guess we'll have to wait and see if the second ranking for Ahyeon is ever confirmed publicly. It should be noted, however, that a second ranking is a real thing and is important. But the total list of rankings is not usually something that the general public can access easily. People at the school would know and they may say something...and that becomes the "rumor". In many schools, the importance of the second ranking is indicated by the fact that most colleges give recognition to the "Valedictorian" (1st position) and the "Salutatorian" (2nd position) at the time of graduation.
With regard to the number of views this video would get...Rami was being her humble self by guessing it would hit 1 million and estimating it would take 3 weeks. This video hit 1 million views in 2 days. Rami is special. She is so good now and she still hasn't reached her full potential yet. Thanks for the reaction! Rami is fantastic. As for her number of views on the show, she's probably at least in the top 10 in the history of the show. Most episodes don't make it to a million...even after a long time. There are a few episodes that have several million now, but most of them have been accumulating views for a year or even several years. Rami's episode reached 2 million in just a few weeks...which is really good, especially considering that she's a rookie who debuted less than a year ago. She's currently one of my all-time favorite singers in Kpop, and I'm constantly looking forward to hearing more from her. She also has a super fun personality. (I initially got into Kpop because of Lee Hi...another one of my all-time favorite singers.)

Me too, I have to crank up my volume to max. Subtitles are a bit tiny too. But it’s worth it, as our dude’s reaction to Rami’s unbelievable vocals is very enjoyable. Her English is fantastic! About the last song, it is by the Brother Sister duo AKMU which is also within YG, the brother composes all the songs and lyrics by himself and is somewhat of a musical genius. If you watch the BM last evaluation series, you will see the sister part of the group Lee Suhyun was a vocal mentor for the group. In some recent interviews Rami has stated that Suhyun is her vocal role model. Rami has also done covers of AKMU's Dinosaur. Give the AKMU songs a listen and reaction.
