- I finally found a prefab home with an affordable price per square foot. Over the last year people have been commenting on the price per square foot of the homes shown on the channel so I am excited to be able to show something with much lower price per square foot foot than normal. This is the Casa Grande from Champion Homes, a 4 bedroom home with a foot print of 2,053 square feet. Watch to learn more about the Casa Grande.

Nobody's gonna mention the Three Amigos DVD in the kitchen drawer?
No?
I had to pause the tour and think about a few minutes.
Appreciate the leg-work going to all these home shows.
I noticed it too
Sleek, stylish, and spacious, especially with all the windows creating lots of extra light
I love the big living room with the fireplace. Manufactured homes have come a long way, but their prices have risen along with that. A quality home that’s affordable is a great find.
Thanks once again for showing us a beautiful home! The living room was really a stand out feature of this home.
Now that's a big home for a tiny budget. Nice. Thanks for showing us this and being a great tour guide.
Perfect for me
glad you like it
Homes like this are underrated.
glad you like it! Appreciate the feedback and will use to gauge what people like seeing going forward.
Very nice. This on a piece of property is all the house I'd ever need. Thank you for showing it.
Back in 50sand60s. They bought vacation properties and would put these modular homes on them . A lot of A-Frame type homes too. Someday we will all be able to do this again.
I feel ya, trying to film at these shows can be hard at times untill evening hits and early morning. I like when they run the beams straight back from the TV. It allows for a person to run the wires for their rear speakers and have them hidden inside the beams.
Nice report. There's a couple things that annoys me about the livingroom & it's not just in this home but I see it in existing homes & apartments. That's the placement of the TV way high up on the wall with the seating at right angles to it. First the TV's base should be about 24 inches above the floor. Any higher takes it out of the optimum viewing angle. Second is how are people supposed sit on those sofas & watch the TV without giving themselves a neck ache?
“Garden Tub” with separate “Peekaboo” shower.
You gotta know how to describe these things for the market. :)
Was that a copy of The Three Amigos in that kitchen drawer?!
I love this kitchen! It is a beautiful roomy home.
It’s the picture of the roof that makes this look like a double wide. I’m not sure if this is what’s necessary from a height standpoint in order to ship it but it’s a shame because the interior is very nice. I will also say I feel that if the siding were upgraded to Hardee it would improve the look (and yes the price). Great video. Thank you. Cheers!
True. Also, I would not choose LVT that is so busy. It doesn't look natural to me; it looks cheap, but that is just my taste.
Fancy, schmancy! I like!! See ya in the next one Kerry.
nice home!
Great Job Kenny, but to really help the re-build efforts for example in California (post wildfire disaster Jan 6, 2024) we need a source that can
flame proof the exterior of this manufactured home, a really strong flame retardant coating or spray, etc, to slow down the spread of a wildfire jumping from
residence to residence within minutes. We also probably need to overrde the patent concerns on a government level , because no doubt that with 20/20 hindsight, many contradictory patents have been awarded for these type of flame proofing or flame restardant solutions, and I believe that's why, this is not more commonly known, , that such solutons exis. In other words, the overwhelmed legal system and lawsuits upon lawsuits and threat of litigation, have kept these solutions from breaking through to the common awareness level. Such prior exclusive right claims by way of patents issued, need to be abolished in the name of public safety at this point. (These type of flame retardant solutions) have been around over 60 years , and they're penetration into the building process is basically never done, and that needs to change immediately by public building code law if necessary.
Thanks for sticking around long enough to do the tour without others interfering. Nice big home, with nice layout too. I think the style of the kitchen lights and the black fixtures are supposed to be “industrial” look. And I remember calling it a rumpus room too, or family room. Price point is good too!
Beautiful home, great colors, size, and floorplan! I would put a sliding glass door off the family room and add opening windows above the kitchen sink. I would also eliminate the transom on the front of the home, dont like that look on the front facade! Thanks for the tour!
Slick modular, Kerry. Thanks!
Love the VHS of the 3 Amigos under the microwave. 😅
I'm beginning to sum up what my worth is, because this one is definitely worth to own. Nice job Kerry. You did it again - this time for me 👍👌👏🙂
glad you like it! thanks for watching
That is a nice big one ! 👍
Great tour, great info, Kerry !
Unfortunately I will have to deduct one point for the crinkled floor plan. 😏
Don't worry, it won't go on your permanent record.
Thanks
thank you!
What about the land, land leases can expire and be somewhat expensive. Then buying a lot, what does that run on an average? I just googled it and a Tiny House is harder to find land to rent but is more affordable to build. A prefab is easier to find land because there are so many prefab communities already in place, but they are more expensive to build comparably. Tough choice. Great video! Thank you!
A good tour. One thing I wish is that manufacturers and home builders would move away from wire shelving. It doesn’t hold odd angled objects and lets things fall through. Please please please go back to normal shelving.
The island in the middle of kitchen triangle is kinda dumb
Nice home and great price! This woukd be perfect for many places and applications. Id need domthubg a bit bugger.
Whats the biggest home at the show? Is that a video on its way?
like well deserved, would add a second one for the Three amigos dvd in the drawer if I could :-D
The Three Amigos!
Hierry, I thought your program/videos were to bring alternative small homes. I like that you bring these mobile/modular/prefab homes, but I mostly enjoy the smaller homes you bring. There are just some rally innovative builders out there and I am interested. That being said, thanks for bringing this. The one thing that always bothers me with prefab homes is when they put the walk in closet in the bathroom suite. I just don't think it's good idea. It the moisture thing. I would anticipate mold in the closet. I could be wrong, but personally, not my favorite thing. Thanks for your video, Kerry. I always enjoy them.
That Champion logo looks very similar to that of Cannon / Golan Globus.
Tv's over fireplaces should be a crime.
I stopped watching the Super Bowl just to watch this video and give it a like…and a comment.
Me too 👍
Neurologists give thumbs up to anyone leaving their superbowls behind.
Nice, do they offer anything smaller for people that don’t need that amount of square footage?
How is this home heated? Does it require two heat sources?
Have you done a video on the Chinese brand Vessel? I'm seeing clips on TH-cam about them and they look pretty neat.
Full of toxic materials
👏👏👏👏
There are good things about this house and the price is reasonable, but i don't like the kitchen design. They've placed the fridge across the room from the sink, and you have to walk around the island to go from one to the other. Classic wisdom in kitchen design is that the fridge, sink and stove should be part of a 12' triangle. That island will interfere with both meal prep and cleanup.
Is there anyway to put this house over a basement?
All I can say is that I feel blessed that I live in SW Michigan where I own a house this size, traditional built, with its lot for half this price.
👍
If I was to ever buy a new home, all my lower cabinets would be drawers. So much easier to access than a cabinet
Sorry I meant to say Hi Kerry...
It needs a convection microwave oven and a tankless water heater!
Still a trailer at custom home prices...
Depreciation?????? How long does it last?
Mobile homes depreciate
Stupid question, but what is the procedure for actually living in one of these?
Buy an empty land, and set this up? How do you get plumbing and electricity?
Or buy a home, demo the whole thing, then put together this prefab?
I just don't know how you'd get all the utilities sorted.
Start with the county planning department. It will tell you if there is even zoning for this type of construction.
@@eattherich9215 ahh, I see. Figured you'd have to go through the city to get all the infrastructure set up.
So it's not exactly an easy process, huh?
Gas, electric, water lines, not to mention the roads.
@@SlimJim-bw3ib: it all looks cheap until you factor in acquiring the land, the permit to place the unit on said land, and connecting to mains water/sewage/gas/electricity.
@ Yea figured as much...
So not as budget friendly as it sounds, let alone easy to get this all done....
Most areas do not allow mobile homes. It's difficult to find unrestricted land
Modular or Manufactured? Sure looks like a big double-wide. Manufactured would fit the price. Modular building codes are much stricter. Its big but not really any character in my opinon. A lot of Manufactured home builders have been caught telling customers they are buying a hybrid. Hybrid usually means manufactured build standards, not modular and affects a lot including durability, insurance and financing. I am also not a fan of putting fake beams in a den when it is obvious from the design of the home that they are just that. Nice size, but leaves me cold.
This is a manufactured home. Thanks for watching!
I agree . I don’t like the oak color. More rustic . Don’t like the pattern of the fake wood. I like just a straight beam. Bamboo is real popular and cheap. Make it look Asian style or dark or shappy chic. Other wise nice. Hate the metal shelves in closets
@ I hope that guy building on Maui starts creating larger custom products. It sounded like those fit the modular build since they were were Cat 5 resistant, but he really didn't tell you enough to know. Hope that is not the special sauce he was hiding! Thanks for doing all these!
We have a 1966 modular home. It’s called a Sportsman Cedar craft Built with cedar. 20x 54 about 1000 sq feet. Still here . Termites don’t like cedar. They ate front deck and back but house is fine. They built 13 and went out of business. This has upgraded louvre windows to double pane, copper pig tailed.aluminum wire outlets.New breaker box. Only issue is copper pipes getting gunked up from years of well water. 3/4 inch plywood floors. 2 bedroom., 2 bathrooms. Comp roof, cedar siding. Came stained green . Blue sink in one and pink in other bathroom all redone. Kitchen was all brown appliances. All changed to bright and light. Shabby sheik. Cost was$ 11,000 in 1969 16:12 16:12
We bought a fleetwood made in 80s. A manufactured home. Pretty good quality except for plumbing Great big mobile but had the bad plumbing connectors. Got in on the law suit and all plumbing was fixed.
I like the microwave being at waist level & not in your face where I can burn my eyes but I don’t like that there is no shelf or counter in front of it to put down a hot bowl if you need to
Beautiful place! I know you try to accommodate everyone with the tours! But I don't know why people are so fascinated and intent on seeing in every cabinet and drawer! I have never seen one that was different inside! I have to skip through those parts now!
It appears you have found a trailer
The walk-in closet RIGHT next to the toilet??? Seems like a design flaw.
Tiny Homes are just small mobile homes with nicer exterior siding and interior finish out.
Yep. Maybe you’ll get one that folds out but overall they’re just trailers for people who don’t want to admit they live in a trailer
Sufficiently high ceilings and actual windows make them differ enormously from mobile homes.
Trailer people desire to hide their meth and opiates, and don't like windows.
@15:13, not a bad layout and at least you don't walk in off the street to the kitchen, BUT there are too many small rooms and a living room that is not big enough for the potential number of people living in the unit. The kitchen and bathroom could have been elevated with different cabinetry and anything but black hardware - that is getting old.
This is pretty nice, but I wish the living room layout was a bit more practical, I have no clue how I would furnish a living room like that
Affordable? Who wants to live in a home that looks like a trailer?
I like the white cabinets ,pantry, shelves see through area by front door. Wish the kitchen had a slider. Nice one with square window pane. I think kitchen should be where living room is. Swap them and put slider for back yard and deck. Love bathrooms and all the drawers. Don’t like the front look of the house. Very plane. Door needs to be set in and grander. Price is good.
Mobile Home
Trailer House
Double Wide
28’ x 76’ Box = 2,052 Sq ft
So each side are 14’ wide +-.
80’ is usually the longest, but 4 feet is all “hitch” thus the longest mobile homes tend to be a 76’ long box.
85 years in the mobile homes business, here, on our 4th generation in the office.
They depreciate
Or…. if you happen to have a pet “ rumpas” (whatever that is , maybe a Canadian thing).
How about finding some affordable land?
😂
2K sq feet of....garbage? Looks like it's built from junk. Sorry. The price point is great (sort of) but the quality is highly quesionable.
You found… a double wide.
To big for me but nice.
thanks for watching
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 355K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated..
As a newbie investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Ruth Ann Tsakonas, for her expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.
Without a doubt! Ruth Ann Tsakonas is a trader who goes above and beyond. she has an exceptional skill for analysing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. Her strategies are meticulously crafted on thorough research and years of practical experience.
how would you recommend i enter the crypto market? I am also looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally.. What's your take on this approach? and How can i reach her, if you don't mind me asking?
Lol $200k is affordable. This guy.
small ceilings....
Aka affordable for nobody.. i wonder how much they paid him to lie :/
Over the island lighting...so so bad....in so many ways...direct-indirect style when it should be direct only... big glare on the ceiling, light source visible, less illumination on task area, and so on...
Hey Kerry: You're batting ZERO lately showing architecturally interesting homes. PLEASE stop featuring these mobile homes with gratuitous roof trims, cheap windows, floor, cabinets and sidings.
So what you’re saying is, you’re not a fan???
I disagree. I like to see more affordable options like this.
I'm new to house buying, but good to know these options exist
It is HIS channel , so he can display 3 legged roosters if he wants. He has mentioned that he is doing this one PER REQUEST.
It's a trailer people
200K Canadian, is a pretty good price..but they don't sell to the US
This is a US home
Last I checked Tennessee is still in the US. Where did you go to school?
