kelantan delicacies is underrated but amazingly sedap. cannot compare penang food to kelantan food becoz penang's is influence by peranakan and kelantan influenced by thai cuisine

The concept of eating nasi ulam is very similar to korean style of eating “Ssam” of combination of flavours. Ulam (sambung nyawa etc) are like how korean use Salad and Perilla Leaf, and adding on ban chan (side dishes) sam jjang + kimchi with Bapp and protein (grilled beef etc) . Sunsang-nim was trying to tell you to eat it the right way by combining the nasi putih + ulam + budu and belacan for the ultimate combination. You have to give Nasi Ulam another go. Hwaiting!
