I don't know what it is, but your authenticity shines through in your videos. In a world of braggers, posers and fake enthusiasm...you come off as "real". Keep doing your thing BSR!
Brian your videos are straight to the point no BS going on. You start your video with your Main Topic and stick with it throughout the video and your ability to do this is amazing. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos and I thank you, as you know I always share your videos trying to reach other DJ’s so they to can learn from your videos
These are some of the first things we taught to HS Extemp speakers. Stop the umm, uh, well, like, and all of those types of words. Use the silence!! It's not merely ok, it's POWERFUL. This is going to help a lot of people. Recording yourself, whether your mic or mixing, can be an incredible tool for growth and improvement.
Great reminder of what to avoid doing while speaking. Another is the tongue to roof of mouth tick click. It’s sometimes hard to avoid. Listen at 5:05 for reference. It’s slight. There is a DJ on Sirius outlaw country who does it a lot and it’s very sharp. Drives me nuts.
Ok, first love the idea of this mic skills training and second, I definitely laughed out loud with the Gilligan’s Island reference. Only O.G.s would know what you are talking about. Love what you do and thank you!
I live in Conyers Georgia by the way of San Bernardino California. I've been a DJ since 1994. I had a stroke in 2020. I want to get my skills back. Can you help

Excellent video. It took me 8 months to stop saying um. You really don’t realize you are doing it. My kids helped me finally to stop doing it.
Thank for these great tips!! MCing is something I’ve been working on!
