On engines like these with the oil filter mounted up high, it's best to change the filter first, then drain the oil from the oil pan. Reason being is when you unscrew the old filter, some oil drains back into the oil pan. So you will have some dirty oil run down into a pan that you just drained. Next time, change out the filter first, then drain all the old oil from the pan. You will collect more old dirty oil this way. Thanks!
@@aveautomotive2441you ever have any trouble with the Fiesta (2011 SES) with a vibration felt inside the car when first cranked at a idle in P, D or N that goes away once you start driving and does not come back when you stop at a light but returns after being parked all day or night?
You make this look very straightforward and simple. I feel very confident after watching your video that I can do this myself! 👍🏻 I will add an update post here letting you know whether or not I was successful in completing my very first oil change!!! Thank you for making this video!!
I'm interested to hot hatch manual transmission. Ford Fiesta or VW Golf GTD are good. However, the leg room of the back seat disappointed me for the former.
Ah yeah, I forgot to add an arrow pointing to the Jack point in the center of the vehicle. I can see how that would be unclear. To be fair, I assume most folks attempting to perform their own maintenance know how to Jack up their cars, so I don’t think it was an issue for most. Either way, thanks for pointing that out ;)
Completely agree. I was just saying that this video was specifically about changing oil and the steps and tools needed. Though admittedly, given an oil change is a beginner task, I will make sure to put accurate and specific info on how to safely Jack up the specific car being shown in the video. We just figure most people know that stuff, so we were getting right to the point if that makes sense. Again, appreciate the feedback!

Oh sweet! I’ll definitely give that a try next time on this car!

I’m so glad it made you feel like you could do it yourself! I hope it goes well! :)
Excellent video thank you!
Thank you! Hope it helped!

May I ask the Car ramp is how high is it please?
Great one!
Thank you!!
"... you can also jack it up from that point there".
Shows you view of the underneath of the car.
WTF??😂😂😂😂

@@aveautomotive2441 A misplaced trolley jack or axle stand can write off a car. It can also be fatal if it fails while you are under it.
