When I try to figure this out I think y not stick to a 2 way speaker and use the 13 band eq plus minus 12db gives a 24db seperation as the same as the crossover slopes be -24db yet the bands on eq become obsolete?
ultimately less drivers will always sound better IF (big if) they can cover the frequency spectrum properly. This is alot more rare and difficult than it sounds,
