I totally understand what you're saying here but I can't help but disagree completely with you because I can read works like "The Devotion to the Sacred Heart" by Fr. Jean Croiset written over 300 yrs ago and he was St. Margaret Mary Aloqoue's confessor. And i nust get this overwhelming sense in reading the prayers and the reflections that even in the 1690's, that people didn't have much believe or love for Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. St. Ignatius of Antioch, a early Father of the Church who knew St John the Evangelist, condemned people who denied that the Eucharist was truly the Flesh and Blood of our Lord. Showing that this has been a problem that goes back to our earliest ancestors of the Faith. Further evidence of disbelief is written in the Gospel of John chapter 6 in the Bread of Life discourse. Some people just cannot understand the reality of ghe Eucharist. Stop trying to pass the blame off on the Church.
Communion in the hand is only part of the problem. The irreverence is a lack of faith among priests and the laity. There has been a complacency in the Church for a long time. Modernism hs crept in the true teachings of the Church are not being heard anymore. There is a major crisis of faith. Let us pray and sacrifice for a major turnaround to take place in the Church.

The bread isn't dead bread but fully alive ;) I saw Jesus in the Eucharist, but I already believed in the true presence:) It is so lovely to receive Our Lord :) I am saddened to see as a cradle catholic others deny his true pressence one can feel it as one recieves him! Thank you for your perseverance! We very seldom look at our comments except for just recently. We receive so many comments on different videos that we cannot keep up with. The video that you are referring to was deleted because we could see people getting so confused by it. Many people thought that their water could be exorcised simply by watching the video. A priest must be present physically to bless water. The video was meant to encourage people to go to their priests for the blessing. Also, we had people asking us to mail them the exorcised holy water. We are unable to do that. So, to extinguish all wrong ideas people were having, we deleted the video.
I need help understanding. Is the celebration of mass and eucharist for the forgiveness of sins? So like, a replacement of yom kippur? We no longer have to be Jewish and attend yom kippur with a Jewish high priest in Jerusalem temple and slaughter lambs for the forgiveness of sins. We get the best sacrifice/worship in any mass any place on the planet? It's now made available to every nation, tribe and tongue? If someone rejects the mass, are they not also rejecting the forgiveness that it provides? Matthew 26:27-28 NRSV-CI [27] Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; [28] for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Drink from this cup of my blood for the forgiveness of sins! In the Old Covenant Jews would have to bring an animal for sacrifice to the temple priest to shed blood and cover sins. In the New Covenant Jesus is the priest and offering by combining his self as the pascal lamb and the bread and wine of the Melchizedechian order at the Christian altar. So how do we participate in that cup of the blood of the New Covenant ? How do we get it applied to us to cover sin? Just believe... thinking about it in our minds? Or John 6 and Last Supper commands?
