The Ellie finger thing isn’t a coincidence. Even if it hasn’t been confirmed by Neil, Ellie holds those two fingers in other scenes as well in both games, it’s an established nervous tick in the games. For those same fingers to get bitten off would be a wild coincidence.
But TLoU2 story was an unknown during TLoU1 production. Also, this is MoCap acting, so holding those fingers is much more likely Ashley's acting tick, not direction from the director.

After peeking at it since release in 2013, TLOU is the reason I got into the emulation spiral, the first game I played on RPCS3. RPCS3 is power hungry so I upgraded my PC, therfore it can even run the Part1 Remake at Ultra these days :) Maybe one day even Part2 or Factions 2 will get a decent PC port...
