My favorite in this video is the 765. That Nathan 6 chime whistle is a beauty. The Crescent is nice, but uses the same whistle as the Milwaukee Rd S3's.
Hello! I am thinking soon about getting that southern crescent limited 1393 pacific engine. Where did you get that engine from? I would also love to get its matching passenger cars as well!
I got the southern crescent at a train show over 5 years ago. They are quite hard to find regardless of version. The matching passenger cars are made by MTH and now Atlas, and even Lionel.
Hello Jack - A Legacy Southern Crescent Pacific was just posted for sale on the OGR Forum - See it here: ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/topic/for-sale-lionel-legacy-southern-crescent-steam-engine-6-85174-nib
Hello Jack - According to the ad the engine is the 6-85174, from the 2018 catalog. BTW the green shaded engine you see in my video dropped dead in the water immediately after filming this video. No reverse control and no stack smoke.... I would buy the newer one ;) Best and Cheers - Zach
Hello Michael - Thank you for your subscription and for checking out my channel :) I definitely can see how other scales are preferred over O, especially HO scale which has tapped into niches O scale just realistically wouldn't do right now.
This was a great series. Acquiring a TMCC 3-truck Shay from one of my dealers sent me down the rabbit hole of going all-in on a dream floor layout- it’s one of my favorites. They’re currently sitting on 2 Legacy Heisler’s I’ve been on the fence on for two years but are obsessed with slow crawl loggers. Holding out for a re-release of Legacy Shay’s with current sound boards to expand my collection and of course should a Climax be introduced, would absolutely get it too. Still unsure of the Heisler’s.
The legacy Heislers in my view are one of Lionel’s best pieces. Definitely get all the ones you can get. I have a Legacy 2 truck shay that was nothing but a headache (until bruk bannister did his magic). I’m still searching for the Mt Rainer Legacy Heisler and the Legacy Western Maryland 3 truck shay #6. Best of Luck to you! - Zach
Nice thanks for update.
I rode on the FEC coach as well when 611 pulled it in 2015!
Awesome!
Handsome looking Engines.
Thank you for watching!

Great comparison!! I’d love to compare the Lionel 765 to my MTH 765 one day.

@@SRRC245 ok I’m really looking for that specific one!
Don’t model O scale due to space and budget, but I’ll always respect it. Nice video and that’s quite the roster. Subscribed!
