I made this trip twice when I was a teenager in the 70's. Thanks for this video, it really brought back memories. I'm hoping to take my son up there someday.
Did you do any fishing and if so how was it... and how many miles do you say from Edison lake to devils bathtub... and one more question... can you see grave yard lakes from the peak... thanks
We didn't do any fishing, but there were several people who were and one caught more trout than he could eat and offered us a couple. It's about 4.5 miles from Edison (trailhead) to Devil's Bathtub. And yes, you can see Graveyard Lakes from the peak. It sits on a sharp ridge with Devil's Bathtub basin on one side and Graveyard Lakes on the other.
+Patrick Hamblin I wish I could this year but probably not until next year. I'd be down to go over like a three day weekend with you if you are interested... Let me know!
The trail to Devil's Bathtub was great. It got a little faint immediately below the lake, but by then you can tell that you are cresting into the basin and there's no way to miss it. From the lake to Graveyard, there are several well worn use paths leading along the east side of the lake. One is adjacent to the water and the other is about 40 feet upslope. Either way, as you approach the northern end of the lake, you will need to start bushwhacking up the incline to your right (east) and will quickly pop up onto a visible ridge. You then just follow this ridge towards the obvious crest of the peak. It gets narrower as it gets steeper and route finding is just a matter of avoiding brush and boulders.

Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed. I'm sure your son will enjoy it if you're able to carve out the time.
Dan,
Thanks for the response to my question. We found the trail to the lake good but didn't try for Graveyard Peak on a day hike.
How many miles you think it was to the peak and back to the trailhead
It’s 5 miles from TH to Devil’s Bathtub. From there it’s off trail about 1.25 miles to the top of Graveyard Peak. So probably 12.5 miles round trip.
@@ConnieRyder thank you so much!!

how good was the trail to devil's bathtub? Was there even a trail from there to Graveyard Peak
