Addo is a wonderful game park .I have great memories of visiting g with my cousin Lindy and her husband Neil .We all had a great day with sittings of many ellie and lions to which was a great treat Wonderful day .Fiona Clarke
Hi Jane, you don't need a high ground clearance vehicle, or at least not when we visited. The road is good gravel, a Honda Jazz will cope just fine. Bear in mind that heavy rain could change the conditions so best to check with SANParks before you go.
We enjoyed it so much that will definitely be going back again and try some of the other camps, watch this space 😉 My fellow TH-camr the Travel Gigolo has done some reviews of camping sites in Addo (actually all over SA and Namibia), check out his channel: th-cam.com/users/TravelGigolo
Thanks Gary. I believe that there is a 4x4 trail in the park, the Bedrogfontein Trail, details on the SAN Parks website: www.sanparks.org/parks/addo/tourism/activities/4x4_trail.php

It sure is. We saw lions on our last visit, this time we heard them at night but no sightings unfortunately 😢
Thank you very much. Your video is very informative but calm and not hectic at all. :)
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video 👌
I have such great memories we exicted Addo by the same gate Cholester gate and we also saw many elephants we enjoyed ourselves very much .Fiona Clarke
That is awesome Fiona, it's a bonus that it's so accessible as well.
Great review. Thanks so much.
It’s a pleasure Sylvia, thanks, and I’m glad you found it useful.
Do you need an SUV for the roads to Nyathi Rest Camp? Do you think a small Honda Jazz would do the trip easily?

Excellent! Very informative. It would have been great to also cover the camping facilities.
